24.01.2022 If you’re selling a used or second-hand caravan (camper trailer or RV) if it’s still registered, you need to provide the buyer with a gas system compliance certificate that is less than three months old. Read the guideline. https://www.business.qld.gov.au//caravans-recreational-veh

21.01.2022 Carbon monoxide is a toxic, tasteless odourless gas that can be deadly in relatively small quantities. It can be produced by poorly maintained or faulty gas app...liances. If your gas heating appliances have been in storage over the warmer months, have them checked by a licensed gas installer before using them. bit.ly/2YLFypu
20.01.2022 July and August is ‘show’ time throughout Queensland, which means lots of mobile vans and portable gas equipment. If you’re involved in any outdoor events, ensu...re you have non-portable gas devices installed by a licensed gas fitter, and consider hiring a gas fitter to check all your gas devices before the event. See our LPG gas safety checklist for outdoor events for more information about the checks you should carry out. https://bit.ly/2K4vS3B See more

18.01.2022 Evidence of why gas safety is so important. This is the result of someone changing over a gas cylinder while the appliance is alight. This error caused serious injuries. This incident was recently highlighted at BBQ Safety Day at the Gold Coast.
16.01.2022 Follow Gas Guy’s advice and be #campsafe. Check your gas cylinder for holes, rust, dints and damage before use. Check fittings and hoses for any signs of fading..., fraying, cracking or splitting and check the regulator connection for any missing ‘O’ ring seals. If it looks dodgy or is damaged don’t use it - swap it for a new one immediately. https://bit.ly/2I72PxF See more

11.01.2022 New gas stoves are expensive, so like most homeowners you try to get the longest life possible out of this appliance. Even with regular cleaning and servicing, however, your stove will eventually wear out and begin to give you signs that it is time for a new one. Most gas stoves have a life of about 10 to 15 years, although some can last longer. [ 1,009 more word ] http://intagasservices.com.au/four-signs-that-it-is-time-t/
09.01.2022 Never use camp stoves (butane cookers) indoors and only use them for what they were intended. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
08.01.2022 Our Gas Inspectors were called to a sad scene a family lost their home, but thankfully no injuries. A BBQ can become a nightmare if the gas cylinder isn’t connected properly. Before you ignite, check your connections with soapy water and always keep a fire extinguisher close by.
06.01.2022 Only a licensed gasfitter can carry out gas work. Gas work includes installing, removing, altering, repairing, servicing, testing or certifying the gas system, including all pipework and connections. Always ask to see a person’s gas work licence before they do any gas work.
06.01.2022 Not in Qld, but a concerning example of how serious gas can be. For your peace of mind, we recommend having your systems and appliances checked by a licenced professional.

01.01.2022 Now that camping sites are open again, it’s important to remember to be #gassafe when you set up camp. Butane cookers are convenient but they can be dangerous.... Portable gas stoves should always be used in a ventilated space, away from high heat and naked flames. Unless specified by the manufacturer, don’t use pots or pans larger than 200mm. When the pot is too big, it concentrates the heat down toward the gas canister, which may cause it to overheat and explode! Avoid putting your family, friends and self at risk. Play it safe. See more
