03.01.2022 WYNDHAM PASSES COVID HOUSEHOLD RATES RELIEF PACKAGE Thanks to all councillors those who have supported tonight’s my motion to propose council rate relief. This ...amendment was passed tonight by Wyndham City council. That Council’s COVID-19 Hardship policy be extended to include the following rates assistance to households for the 2020/21 financial year: 1. A rate rebate of $50 per household for those eligible to receive a State Government Pensioner Rebate; and 2. A rate rebate of $100 per household for those in receipt of JobKeeper (which is subject to an application process). The application process including information on eligibility will be communicated to ratepayers in their 2020/21 financial year rates notice and through any other method deemed appropriate by the CEO.
