16.01.2022 Giannina, Simone and myself started the day in Stuart Mock Place learning about CPR and how to use a defibrillator machine. So good to be able to have the ambulance guys answer all our questions. Great to have our own Ambulance station in Tatura.

15.01.2022 The attached Water Markets report (dated November 2017) from Marsden Jacob confirms what we have seen occurring in the market of late. Of particular interest is the confirmation that in the allocation market -Murrumbidgee irrigators have been strong buyers and net importers of allocation into the Murrumbidgee. This resulted in trade closing into the Murrumbidgee for first time since September 2013. The good news today is that there is room showing in the Barmah Choke for trade in the Murray system. 14.01.2022 Took ourselves over to Lake Eppalock to check out the dam which is currently at 90% capacity. The region is looking good at present and irrigators are looking forward to good allocations in new irrigation season. Loads of people enjoying camping, fishing, sipping wine and overlooking Lake. Have to love our water catchments for their contribution to our great lifestyle.

14.01.2022 Latest update from BOM. Integra will be available next week to talk with their customers about their options - once we see what happens over this weekend.

14.01.2022 Our resilient farmers can only take so much and so it is no surprise to read that milk production has gone back to levels 20 years ago. Sadly it affects all businesses and local communities when the dairy farmers are hurting. Many farmers have exited the industry and those that remain need a good year to rebuild reserves. Lets continue to buy good quality dairy products at the supermarket to continue supporting those dairy farmers that remain in the industry.

11.01.2022 An ideal seasonal break yesterday with Tatura getting 34mm overnight, Kyabram 28 mm, Strath Creek (down near Broadford) and Osborns Flat (near Wodonga) both had 63 mm. Lake Eildon only had 9mm. Thanks BOM for the data.

07.01.2022 Menindee lakes play a key role in water allocations. When the lakes volume rises above 640,000 megalitres, water can be shared downstream with the River Murray under an agreement between the NSW, Victorian and South Australian governments. When there is water in this facility it assists greatly in being able to deliver commitments downstream.

04.01.2022 So milk prices start to recover- very slowly. From Trading desk at Integra - allocation water finished week at $55/meg. This time last year Goulburn allocation was trading at $210/meg.
