11.01.2022 At 4:49am on 26/09/18, a police motorcyclist was stopped on the shoulder dealing with a speeding motorist upon the M5 Motorway at Revesby with blue and red emer...gency lights being displayed. A 66 year old male driver from Glen Alpine drove past the stationary police motorcyclist at a speed of 87Kph, well in excess of the 40kph speed limit that now applies when passing emergency services personnel operating at the side of the road. The driver was stopped and spoken to and gave no reasons for his actions. Issued penalty notice "Drive past stationary emergency response vehicle at speed exceeding 40Kph". $448 and 3 Demerit points.
