05.01.2022 Been a while but here is another #IntelectTips. CompactLogix 1769-ASCII card, yes this is in the manual but who actually reads it cover to cover? If you have a basic Null modem cable (cross-over) with only Rx, Tx and Gnd (Pins 2, 3 and 5 of D9 Plug) it will not work at a very least you need to have CTS and RTS (pins 7 and 8 of D9 plug) looped together at the Card.

02.01.2022 We have been asked why we now use Red Lion Displays over Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. Not happy with the product since the Rockwell Automation introduction of the PanelView Component. Yes, the introduction of the PanelView 800 range was a slight improvement it still was not easy scalable. After using a few Red Lion's on a customer's request, we discovered their software very user friendly and flexible. Huge bonus the software is a free download giving end users the ab...ility to modify the program themselves. Yes, the PanelView 800 software is also free but far from user friendly and was not Control/CompactLogix compatible so limited scalability of projects.

01.01.2022 CCW has definitely improved over the years and great for OEM. But the scalability of Compact/Control Logix is much superior for custom applications.
