25.01.2022 A big congratulations to our Wheat Breeder Dan Mullan on his recent appointment to the GRDC Western Panel. https://www.farmonline.com.au//new-grdc-regional-panels-/

25.01.2022 2020 has definitely been one for the record books so far, but were pleased that our national trial program is in the ground! A massive team effort and a big thanks to our incredibly dedicated team! https://www.intergrain.com//intergrains-2020-trials-are-i/

24.01.2022 After 12 months planning, we switched on our baking ovens today! Were very excited to have full end product testing capacity to enable us to expand our wheat breeding pipeline. This is a big milestone for our team, so we put the new equipment to the test and celebrated with pizza! #plantbreedinglife

24.01.2022 The InterGrain family! A business where everyone is always prepared to chip in and help each other out! Getting our trials program in the ground this season is critical and it takes a village to make it all happen! A big shout out to the relief seed prep team who have stepped in to keep the wheels turning over Easter!

23.01.2022 When releasing varieties were about delivering grower value and providing profitable options for wheat growers. Devil was released to WA growers for planting in 2019 and Vixen this season. These varieties have proven popular, as complementary options to common mid-maturing varieties such as Scepter and Ninja and assist in spreading risk by varying flowering windows across wheat programs during critical spring stress periods. Both varieties have performed exceptionally well ...in NVT in recent years, highlighting their broad adaptability, especially Vixen . So theyre definitely worth checking out if you havent already. Were always keen to show you through our field sites too, so dont hesitate to get in touch if you have time for a stroll! https://www.farmweekly.com.au//different-maturity-dates-/

22.01.2022 Spring is always a great time of year as we get the opportunity to attend many spring field days across the country and see how our varieties are looking. On Wednesday we attended the Mingenew-Irwin Group day at Yandanooka. A great event and a great turn-out. Pleasing to hear that there's plenty of water in the bucket enabling varieties to stretch their legs this season. Vixen wheat is looking exceptional in northern WA this season, hear what Vixen's breeder Dan Mullan had to say from MIG.

21.01.2022 Kingbale is our first oat variety release whilst is also a world first IMI tolerant oaten hay variety. The mid-maturing, single gene IMI tolerant variety is definitely sparking interest across the country. We look forward to another season of hay yield data from across a range of environments over coming months. Kingbale will be available for planting next season pending a Sentry herbicide registration. If you're interested in the latest news on Kingbale have a listen .........................

20.01.2022 Fantastic to launch InterGrain Cereal Breedings latest barley variety, Maximus CL. With a name like that, we expect it to usurp its predecessor Spartacus CL,... boasting improved yields, superior disease resistance, and highly desired physical grain qualities. Hats off to everyone involved - we hoped to see Maximus taking the fields by storm in 2021.

17.01.2022 Super slow-mo Spartacus Barley. Currently flowering. Only got 8mm on it over the weekend so hoping for a bit more to see what yield we can push out if it.

16.01.2022 Always great to hear from growers when they put our new varieties to the test in the paddock!

16.01.2022 2020 is a big year for RockStar wheat as it makes its paddock debut! It's always exciting to hear from growers as they compare the new entrants to the variety stage against their old system favourites. The Fowler's have put RockStar side by side Magenta wheat and we look forward to hearing how RockStar fares come harvest at the Fowler's in Williams.

16.01.2022 The receipt of new AH classifications for RockStar in the South-Eastern (Sthn NSW) zone and Vixen in the Northern (Nthn NSW/QLD) zone is a big achievement. It highlights our success in developing a truly national wheat breeding program that delivers profitable varieties for Australian growers! https://www.intergrain.com//rocking-and-running-wheats-ro/

13.01.2022 Last night Maximus CL was successfully launched in Perth. The new, next generation IMI barley gladiator provides improved yields, disease resistance and quality characteristics when compared to Spartacus CL. It has attractive potential malt quality characteristics, providing value for everyone within the barley supply chain. Maximus CL will be available for planting in 2021. For more see: https://www.intergrain.com/variety/maximuscl/ https://youtu.be/a-m4VwbsQZQ

12.01.2022 Over the last few years we've been working on the development of some new IMI barleys, agronomically similar to Compass, an alternate plant type to Spartacus CL and Maximus CL. We've listened to the feedback and are pleased to be bringing new material through with improved weed competitiveness. For the latest scoop on IGB1908 and IGB1967 take a listen to Barley Breeder David Moody.

12.01.2022 The new barley variety Maximus has been described as an exceptionally high yielding, early to mid-flowering, potential Malt, imidazolinone (IMI) tolerant barley.

06.01.2022 Keeping options open with Devil wheat! https://www.intergrain.com//keeping-your-options-open-wit/

05.01.2022 We always like hearing from growers and how our varieties perform in the paddock! The Kings grew Devil for the first time last year as they were looking for an earlier to flowering AH wheat to complement Scepter. Their 2019 Devil seed bulk-up was successful and theyll be growing it again this year with the area planted to be determined by break to the season !

02.01.2022 Who's your favourite InterGrain character? We're proud of each of our variety characters as every one has their own story on how they came to be grown in paddocks across the country. With many leading a quieter than normal lifestyle at present we thought we'd encourage the budding young ag industry artists to choose their favourites and colour away! We'd love to see the finished results so be sure to send us your works of art! https://www.intergrain.com//intergrain-character-colourin/
