Ideally it should be an area where distractions can be reduced, there is good ventilation and natural light. It might be an area of a larger space that is sectioned off to create a study nook or you might have the luxury of a whole room with a window. Built in shelving, desk and cabinetry can also be a great option. The chair height should be adjustable and your feet should be able to be comfortably positioned on the floor. Swivel chair can be great for flexibility of movement. It is worth spending a little extra to ensure that you have quality office furniture after all it is likely ...that you will spending a considerable amount of time in your office or study nook area. 3. Ensure that you have great functional and task lighting in addition to maximising natural lighting if available. It is important to have functional and task lighting over the work space area as lighting behind you when you are working will cast shadows on the desk or area where you are working. A fan can be helpful in hot weather especially if you have limited ventilation.
