25.01.2022 The Third Eye Chakra is the second last of the seven major chakras. It is two petaled, located between the eyebrows and indigo is the corresponding colour. It i...s the centre of inner perception, intuition, the sixth sense, inner knowledge, ability to sincere self-reflection and this chakra includes the eyes, ears, head, pineal and pituitary glands and the brain. The well-balanced third eye chakra provides intuitive wisdom which can be trusted with confidence. Clarity of mind is a sign of harmony. Lucid dreams, Concentration difficulties, confusion, fear, headaches, poor eyesight, forgetfulness (excessive ) are signs of disharmony. When the chakra is overactive an individual can become intolerant and judgemental. Lack of empathy and reduced common sense are signs of an underactive third eye chakra. Sitting in sunshine or bright light and meditation are ways to rebalance the sixth chakra. Dark blue foods, like aubergine, black and blueberries, raisins, raspberries, red grapes (and red wine ) are supporting foods. Appropriate oils for the chakra of intuition are angelica root, bergamot, clary sage, frankincense, patchouli and vanilla. Bring an amethyst, blue quartz, blue sapphire or a rainbow moonstone close to the chakra and gently massage the area to unblock the chakra. See more

25.01.2022 The Crown Chakra is the last chakra in our series. It is the chakra of pure consciousness, self-realisation, absolute unity, inner peace, profound spiritual equ...animity, serenity and joy. The crown chakra is symbolised with one thousand petals, represented by the colour violet, located at the crown of the head. It includes the pituitary and pineal glands as well as the upper part of the brain. Depression, listlessness, loss of faith, anxiety, spiritual negation, dissatisfaction with life, feeling of meaninglessness, physical and mental disorders are indicators for an imbalanced or blocked chakra. An overactive crown chakra can produce a sense of superiority and separation from others. Yoga and Pranayama breathing techniques may help to rebalance. Pure and organically grown foods are the best for this chakra. The chakra of the metaphysical communicates with oils like cedarwood, frankincense, jasmine, lavender, myrrh, myrtle and rose otto. Amethyst, clear quartz, diamond and opal are examples for gemstones which may help to unblock the chakra of spirituality. See more

22.01.2022 Lets move to the second chakra, called the Sacral Chakra. This chakra is symbolised by a lotus flower with six petals and the colour orange. It is associated w...ith the element of water, it is located in the pelvic area, and it is the centre of feelings, emotions, pleasure, passion, enjoyment. The energy of this chakra allows you to let go, to move, and to feel change and transformation occurring within your body. Tension, inner conflict, sexual problems, the fact that sometimes emotions are taking over to the point of becoming obsessive or even depression sets in, this indicates that the sacral chakra may be in an unbalanced state. As it is crucial to take care of emotions, live a harmonious life in a healthy relationship, being balanced and easy-going, the following recommendations may help the balance and strengthen the second chakra: Food&Herbs: almonds, berries, caraway seeds, cinnamon, fennel, orange, papaya, pumpkin, mango, vanilla, walnuts Aromatherapy: good oils include bergamot, cardamom, clary sage, jasmine, patchouli, tangerine, ylang-ylang Crystals&Gemstones: amber, fire opal, moonstone, topaz support creativity and emotional balance

16.01.2022 The Solar Plexus Chakra is the third chakra we are looking at. Its often called the power chakra, symbolised by a lotus with ten petals and a golden-yellow col...our. This chakra is located between the navel and solar plexus and linked to our digestive system, pancreas and metabolism. The chakra rules willpower, identity, confidence, personal warmth, self-esteem and self-discipline. A person with a balanced solar plexus chakra is calm, in inner peace, steady and confident in their action. Obsessive behaviour, uncontrolled emotional outbursts, weak decision making, anger, depression may be signs of an overactive or blocked third chakra. Rest, a healthy diet and healthy eating habit help to rebalance. Bananas, brown rice, beans, corn, lemon, oats, pineapple, ginger, turmeric rosemary can help to promote a healthy body and mind. As this chakra focusses on identity and self-worth, the appropriate essential oils are for example black pepper, cypress, grapefruit, juniper, lemon, lime, mandarin. The chakra of will and mental power is associated with crystals like golden feldspar, imperial topaz, tigers eye, yellow jasper or zircon.

13.01.2022 As promised yesterday, well start with our series about the chakras. The first of the seven major chakras is the Root Chakra, symbolised by a lotus with four p...etals and the colour red. Its associated with the element of Earth-the basis of life. A balanced root chakra creates a solid foundation for the six chakras above. Confidence in who we are and whom we trust are functions of the root chakra. The chakra is located at the base of the spine and includes legs, bones, feet, rectum, colon, adrenal gland and kidneys. Anxiety, fear, nightmares, eating disorders, negativity, being constipated or suffering from lower back pain may be indicators for unbalanced root chakra. By reconnecting with nature (gardening, cooking, having a walk, Yoga, meditation), we can balance and strengthen the chakra. Food & Herbs for example carrots, cherries, garlic, ginger, ginseng, onion, potatoes, radish, strawberries, turmeric Aromatherapy for example cinnamon, frankincense, ginger, patchouli, myrrh, cedar Crystals all red gemstones incl. bloodstone, garnet, hematite, red jasper, ruby can help to unblock this chakra and may promote general wellbeing.

13.01.2022 ABOUT SELF-LOVE ... From Charlie Chaplin! This is Charlie Chaplin at age 26, photographed 100 years ago. Its believed he wrote the poem below at age 70. As I b...egan to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Today, I know, this is Authenticity. As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody if I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me. Today I call this Respect. As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow. Today I call this Maturity. As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment. So I could be calm. Today I call this Self-Confidence. As I began to love myself I quit stealing my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm. Today I call this Simplicity. As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health food, people, things, situations, and everything that drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is Love of Oneself. As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is Modesty. As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worrying about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where everything is happening. Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it Fulfillment. As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But as I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally. Today I call this connection Wisdom of the Heart. We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing, new worlds are born. Today I know: This is Life!

11.01.2022 The Throat Chakra is the fifth chakra, symbolised by a sixteen petaled lotus flower and the colour blue/turquoise. Located at the base of the neck (throat area)... it includes the mouth, tongue, thyroid, jaw, neck and larynx. This chakra is all about expression and communication, means speaking truthfully, clear, balanced and with compassion, being a good listener. Ideas, creativity and inspiration turn into reality. An overactive, imbalanced or blocked throat chakra may be indicated by rapid talking, mindless gossiping, verbal aggression, inability to listen, fear of speaking, lying. Singing, humming, listening to music or the sounds of nature help to re-balance. To unblock the chakra liquid foods like water, fruit juice and herbal teas are recommended. A useful herb would be lemongrass and peppermint. For the chakra of communication basil, bergamot, geranium, lavender, peppermint, rosemary are appropriate essential oils. Aquamarine, blue opal, blue topaz are examples of crystals/gemstones which may promote general wellbeing. See more
