21.01.2022 We have now received many interesting and high quality abstracts that forecast one of the best conferences yet. I would like to bring to your attention recent changes to Bhutans policies regarding visas for entry into the country. Previously we had advertised that partners could accompany conference participants under a special partner visa. Unfortunately under the new regulations this visa is no longer an option. However, instead, if partners register for the conference th...ey are able to visit Bhutan as a conference participant. The conference will have an, Art and Culture in Bhutan component. This will support understanding of the many unique arts in Bhutan. It will also cater for those who might not want to attend all of the formal conference sessions. Participants will be provided with opportunities to visit such cultural icons as the Tigers Nest, the folk heritage museum, the Dzong, Paro museum, the weaving centre and the College for Traditional Arts. There will also be social events where participants are entertained with traditional music and dance and drama. We hope that these cultural events will provide windows into the arts and crafts of Bhutan and complement the conference presentations and workshops. See more
