25.01.2022 On the first day of Summer, here in Mural Park are two lovely visitors from the northern part of Tasmania, admiring Steve Monks beautiful mural.

25.01.2022 HELLO MURAL FEST! Today (12th April 2020) is the day that Mural Fest 2020 was supposed to begin. I am standing in Mural Park, it is 9am and the only ones here are myself (Penny) and my dog (Dory), whereas this park should be filled with our fantastic volunteers, 12 excited artists and the wonderful Sheffield Town Crier counting down the beginning of MF 2020. The theme this year is VISIONS OF THE FUTURE, and I absolutely know that there are brighter days ahead - I am visualising a fantastic future where we meet here in November to celebrate art...(and dogs) happily, and healthily. Happy Easter to us all - do the right thing - excercise your mind and your body, social distance, and wash your hands to flatten the curve. Oh, and did you know - there are ONLY 202 days till we meet again?!

23.01.2022 LOT 8 - this astounding mural created by Crystal Barbre called 'Rising from Remembrance' evokes such emotions. The figure in front is surrounded by iconic poppies, reminding you to always remember. The girl on the right caresses a Tasmanian Tiger that is embraced by Forget-me-nots, as the tiger looks back at you - very emotive. What treasure. This mural is for auction on the 9th of March, at noon in Mural Park.

23.01.2022 Another year and another group of amazing artists! More images coming now...

This group of steam machinery restorers like the hands-on approach. ...Continue reading
