15.01.2022 Additional Time will be allowed by the Department of Home Affairs for Temporary Graduate 485 applicants to provide results for English language testing where COVID-19 has disrupted access to services. For Time of Application requirements to be met, COVID affected applicants must provide, at time of lodgement, evidence they have an appointment booked for a English language test, or provide evidence that are unable to book a test where the centre is closed. The requirement must... still be met in full, that is, applicants must provide evidence they have sat and achieved the appropriate score in an English language test in order for their Temporary Graduate Visas to be granted. Please note the English language test must be administered by a Departmentally accredited provider. Currently, online or home edition test results are not acceptable forms of evidence. 485 MIA485COVID-19

13.01.2022 Thousands of jobs will be supported by our decision to invest $1 billion to bring forward defence projects to support Australian manufacturing and construction ...as part of our #JobMaker plan. Today's package will help many small and medium sized businesses in the defence-industry Australian manufacturing supply chain, including Datapod in Canberra, which I visited this morning, and has been awarded a two-year, $20 million contract. Our JobMaker plan is about doing everything we can as we grow out of the #COVID19 recession to ensure that we keep Australians in jobs, and we keep businesses in business.

13.01.2022 Mental health and wellbeing videos have been developed by the COVID-19 Communications Team, in collaboration with Headspace and the Mental Health Branch, reminding people to look after their mental health during the pandemic. The videos highlight some of the symptoms and behaviours people may experience due to changes to their situation, stress or isolation, and identify tips and resources available that can provide much needed support. Meet Toby, an international university student and Headspace volunteer, talking about the importance of working together to get through this challenging time. https://vimeo.com/440234202/b2c25d4435
