08.01.2022 Preparation is key folks

05.01.2022 More antiqued decor I started with three books (two have been photographed...all three had plain coloured hard covers). The single book was painted in a soft gray and I added moulds to the front and side as well as raised stenciled French script. ... On the two joined books I painted those separately, added a sweet little oval frame I had stored away and a little decopage and a old cricket book gets a fun new look. Products used on both: Dixie Belle Drop cloth, Driftwood, crackle medium, gloss sealer. Alchemy gold and rose gold waxes. Darwi light clay. Mod podge (for the decopage) Redesign moulds This whole look cost next to nothing except a little bit of time, and would make a beautiful handmade gift for someone. This is so easy any one could do it. Hit me up into want to learn how All products purchased from : https://www.shabbychicandco.com/

04.01.2022 Progress Pics I have made good progress on the el cheapo Kmart frame transformation. The frame has been crackled and antiqued, I have decopaged an absolutely devine print onto a sheet of ply I brought and cut down...and started adding gorgeous appliques I have made.... I got further than this pic last night and am on the tail end of finishing off making all the appliques I need. This time I have used casting resin (my new fave moulding medium), this stuff sets like concrete which is going to make the frame a little less delicate to handle. The next pics should be the finished product

03.01.2022 So somehow this ended up in the back of my car on its way up to Cairns . Oops my bad

This could be used for anything from a coffee station to nursery storage to even just a fancy little pot plant holder. Prices for a quick sale @ $95.

03.01.2022 Found a new place to hang my wet frames

03.01.2022 And here is my knob box filled with a multitude of knobs Its so easy to take a plain wooden jewelley box (purchased from Bunnings) and let your creative streak run amok. I started off by removing the hinges and screws as I wanted the change how the top opened up. So I added a crystal knob (its a knob box after all) .... I painted the whole box in drop cloth as the light base makes the colours pop more so than straight on brown mdf. I knew I wanted to use Peony, Dixie Belle Blue and Flamingo. I winged the rest and mixed up flamingo and DB blue to make a sweet lavender. Straight off the bat I knew the inside had to be Honky Tonk red I took out 4 tubes of transfer odds and ends and just blinged the box with even more colour. In love with decor wax and managed to use rub in buff in vintage gold, Redesign wax in Diamond dust and Metallica electric violet. Sealed with the remainder of my DB gloss that hadn't spilt everywhere in a box . Made a mould to make the top all fancy and popped my knob on top and filled the box with lots of random knobs. That's sounds a little dodgy..my bad . Big thank you to the legendary CeCe Hunt for continuing to be such an amazing inspiration

02.01.2022 All I can say is wow! This one sure was a labour of love I didn't count the hours I put into this one, I didn't dare. I was too excited to tackle the biggest frame I had ever done (1400mm x 1000mm). The moulds alone took 2 full evenings, the antiquing took 5 hours. Haha and she's not mine! ... As always with my frames I used the following to achieve this transformation. DIXIE BELLE: - Best dang wax in clear - Dixie Dirt - Best dang wax in black REDESIGN BY PRIMA: - 7 different moulds (no idea what all the names are WOODUBEND: - Number ??? ...but it was the last piece I had

01.01.2022 **SOLD** Antique Paris From its humble beginnings of a plain wooden frame from the Salvos, I then cut a solid wooden backing and added the Paris print.... The paint has been crackled to further enhance the antique effect I love so much, I have moulded and added baroque swirls and gilded with gold wax to really make the detail pop. Above and below the print there is fine gold detailing and slightly grunged with Dixie Dirt. This one is seeking a new forever home Products used: * Dixie Belles' Sawmill gravy, crackle medium and Dixie Dirt. * Gloss sealer * Stamperia Rice Paper * Re-design moulds * Alchemy wax in Eternal
