02.01.2022 Its this type of attitude that worries our workers, were all local & are moderately healthy & not willing to be infected by COVID

02.01.2022 Id like to thank the super South Hed Police for being able to nip around & defuse a volotile situation around the Waterpark early this morning that was threatening to explode around my golden child. You are a credit to the uniform & were dashed lucky to have you in town.

02.01.2022 Dear Hedland Community, Just wanted to share a photo or two of the week it was, out and about in the community last week! Our team of Fair Gamers were jumping w...ith excitement during a surprise visit from former West Coast Eagles player Jacob Brennan, thanks for dropping in. Food bank packs, courtesy of Roy Hill, were delivered to some amazing community members, who themselves go above and beyond to help many out. R U OK Day was spent at the Hedland Senior High School, teaching the students, that whilst playing Dodgeball is fun, setting the arena up isn’t so much! Thanks again to Pilbara Mental Health, Stephen Dawson MLA, Life & Soul and F45 who have supported the promotion of mental well-being in the community in this interactive way. Detective Senior Constable Green, Youth Policing Officer‘s and Community Liaison Officer Geary delivered a great presentation on Cyber Safety to approximately 300 year 7’s and 8’s at Hedland Senior High School. And a stall at the annual Bloodwood Tree Career Expo Day finished our week off. Having our work experience student Jarred with us was a bonus as he managed to convince many of his friends a career in policing was the way to go. Regards A/Sergeant Thom Rose South Hedland Police Station #illbethereforyou

01.01.2022 Heads up guys & girls

01.01.2022 COLLECTING FOR THE CREW A donation drive has been launched to help support the 21 Filipino crew of a bulk carrier stuck in Port Hedland and in their ship off t...he coast because of a COVID outbreak. The Port Hedland Seafarers Centre is collecting items for the men, many of whom disembarked the ship for hotel quarantine with little with them. The Centre's operations manager John Hague says any donations which will help the seafarers pass the time will be appreciated. "Mainly after things like food, nothing that's refrigerated or needs cooking, maybe even toiletries or games or books things like that which will go to the crew," he says. "I think there's a number of people in the community who want to step up and help and the Filipino community has obviously stepped right up to the front." : Seafarer's Centre operations manager John Hague with the first donations, from Jesse Pawloff and Karla Pawloff-Abad.
