24.01.2022 First announcement for the week. We have shoot dates locked in. In a little over a month this film will be getting shot starting from September 19th. This has been over a year in the making, but we're almost into the next phase. Just encase I don't say it often enough, thank you to everyone reading this for all the support you've given the project so far.
22.01.2022 Update time. Less than 3 weeks until we officially start filming. It's both a nervous and exciting time. We're currently going through all applications for the extras/supporting roles. The response was quite a bit more than expected with a lot of enthusiastic actors out there.... In related news, our shooting schedule is having the finishing touches put on it a the moment and once that's confirmed we'll be able to offer extra/supporting cast roles with dates so those who accept can do so with as much information as we can give them. 21.01.2022 Afternoon all. Just a quick note to say thank you for the response to the cast and crew call yesterday through our various channels. Its been quite an overwhelming response and we're working our way through it all and responding to everyone, even if it's just a message to let everyone know that we received their interest. It won't be a long casting process as a lot of the roles are dependent on the main cast (younger versions, family relations etc) so look becomes more important than it normally would for some roles, but best of luck to everyone who has applied, and again, thank you all for taking the time to show interest in this film we're putting together.
21.01.2022 Welcome to the beginning of another week. Doesn't feel like long since we passed 1000 likes and we're already over 1300. As always, we love the support you guys give us, keep it coming. The more shares and likes we get the larger our audience grows. It's not easy in the independent film world, but you guys make it a lot easier with the support you give. This week we've got another image being released on Thursday, and of course a creation post on Friday, this time talking abo...ut breaking down the script. Everyone has their own unique way of doing it and Jay is no different so he'll run through the how and why of what he does once the script is ready to be broken down. As everyone knows, a character is nothing without a great performance from the actors behind it, and we want to allow you guys to get a glimpse at the actors who are playing the film's characters. Coming soon we'll be dedicating a week at a time to each actor to give you guys an inside look into their thoughts, personalities and uique perspective on the film so look out for that.
21.01.2022 Day one done and dusted. Great start, no doubt more fun days to come. Looking forward to getting Randall, Sasha, and Natalie for their first day on set tomorrow after kicking off with Alex and Mark today.

18.01.2022 Hey Guys, Its been a long couple of months. The team managed to get through shooting with cast and crew putting in a lot of long days and hard work to get the film shot. We can't thank enough all the people who have helped on the cast and crew side of things. It's only just the start though as we move into post production, which is no simple task, but now that the majority of filming is out of the way we can put more time into regular updates and keeping you guys informed. ... As always, we appreciate all the support we've gotten from you guys whether you're supporting friends/family who are part of the cast and crew or just interested in the film itself, every little bit helps. Thanks again, and keep sharing and liking, there's still plenty more to come.

11.01.2022 Another update to get the week going. Another image release on Thursday and this week in the creation portion of the website we'll be diving a little deeper into the breakdown of the script, how it's pulled apart and broken down to find the best way to shoot it. Every Wednesday we've been posting a quote, things that are somewhat related to the story, characters, themes of the film. Thought we'd switch it up a little so tomorrow we'll be posting something new and might try to release similar things every 2-3 weeks as time allows.
11.01.2022 Ending the week as we always do with a new creation post. We've spoken about the idea, developing the idea, and even that first draft. Now it's time to talk about what happens next and why re-writing until you feel it's right is more important than any of the other previous steps. Have a great weekend.

08.01.2022 Something for our Brisbane acting friends who follow the page. CASTING for Independent Feature FIlm. Minor supoorting and extra roles for feature film Into Black. Will be required for between 1-3 days maximum between the dates of 19th September - 23rd October. The main location is in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. Deferred payment based on MEAA rates.... Lizzie - Approx 18 Gavin's daughter (played by Wayne Bassett for reference) Will be required for 1 full day filming and 1 half day. Julie - 20-25 At least 1 day. Fun loving, beach going vibrant young girl. James - 28-40 1 Half/Full day only. Police officer. Sasha's Mother - 35+ A couple of half days will be required. High society (or at least she wants people to think she is) her relationship with Sasha (played by Cassandra Smith for reference) is strained to say the least. Jacob - Approx 8-10. Natalie's son (played by Rachel Forsyth for reference) Malcolm Jnr - Approx 7-8. Son of Malcolm (Kyle Dries for reference) and Alex (Danxia Yang for reference) so Caucasion/Asian heritage is preferred but not an absolute (genetics are a tricky thing) Nurses (2-3) - No age/gender specification. 1 Half/Full day. Doctors (1-2) - No age/gender specification. 1 Half/Full day. Sasha's Father - 35+ A single half day, has a very strained relationship with Sasha (Cassandra Smith for reference) Lauren's Husband - 35+ Wealthy, Lauren (Rugen Holland) for reference is his favourite "trophy" Thug - 30+ male 2 half days required. Bodies - No age/gender specification. 3-4 people to get done up and play dead for half a day. Cop - No age/gender specification. Half day. Orderlies (2) - No age/gender specification. Half day. Young Randall - Approx 20-25. Younger version of Randall (Anthony Thomas for reference) well built. Young Sasha - Approx 10-15. Half day. Julie's Partner 20-25. 06.01.2022 End of the week so another creation post is up. After talking a bit about the screenwriting process I suppose it's only right to talk about what happens afterwards by giving an overview of the breakdown process. For those who are reasonably new to the page the creation portion of the website is all about the filmmaking process and how this film is getting put together. if that's the sort of thing you're into it's worth checking out on the website and of course it will save you the trouble of scrolling down this entire page to find links to old posts. 01.01.2022 Heading into the home stretch before we start shooting. Invitations for extras roles will be going out tomorrow and Friday as we finalise our cast. A big thank you to all those who applied, we appreciate your interest. As we head into shooting we'll be letting you know where to go and what to look out for on our various social media channels so you can keep up to date with the film as shooting progresses.... 01.01.2022 Hope you're all having a great start to the week. Things are getting busy now as we head towards our shoot dates kicking off on September 19th. As mentioned previously we still have a few minor supporting and extras roles to fill which we will be kicking off tomorrow for those based in Brisbane and keen to apply. As well as that we'll have our usual image updates and creation posts to round out the week, and with a bit of luck perhaps an extra announcement or two.
01.01.2022 Exciting news coming up due to a few recent developments that we'll be announcing towards the end of the week. On that subject the creation post this week will talk about dealing with the unexpected and how fluid a production needs to be when the unexpected happens (almost as if that's related to the announcements this week, funny that.)
