17.01.2022 Have you read our latest news??

17.01.2022 Based on the success of the last workshop we are running this again! This is a free workshop on Sat, Dec 5th for all of our practice members. Places are limited so make sure to reserve you space.

10.01.2022 This month we are diving (or drifting) into all things sleep related; How and why ample rest so beneficial to your nervous system and healing. We are kick starting the month with some suggestions for optimal Sleep Hygiene. Do you already do these, if so how many? If not we hope to inspire you to start implementing some of these... o Find your rhythm and stick to it! Go to bed and wake up at the same time every morning. It will be much easier to both get to sleep and wake up... if your body knows that it happens at the same time every day. o Soak up the morning light. Our exposure to sunlight during the morning, especially during the first 1-2 hrs after waking, is key to regulating our sleep patterns and optimising our circadian rhythm. o Move your body! Aim to get at least 30 min in every day, avoid the last couple of hours before bed. Did you know that there is a positive relationship between physical exercise and sleep, not only will you sleep deeper BUT you will also have more energy for your workout the next day. o Hold on the coffee after 12pm. It can take up to 8 hours for the effect of one cup of coffee to wear off which I why it can be harder to fall asleep if we have a coffee for an afternoon pick me up. o Digital detox in the bedroom, place all phone/ laptop etc out of the bedroom before going to bedA great way to break the habit of looking at your phone before bed and a soon as you wake up. o Schedule time to unwind! In the lead up to bed time embrace slowing down and avoid over stimulating the mind. Incorporate reading or journaling, gentle stretching, mediation, self massage with calming oils into your bedtime routine. o Dim the light! Low lighting after sunset, limit artificial lighting (digital device’) or wear blue light blocking glasses in the evening. Ensure your bedroom is nice and dark to prevent interruption or delay getting to sleep. See more
