02.01.2022 I think that now, more than ever, is a time of transformation in education. We can live inside the context of the challenge that remote learning is and all the problems that it causes (and there are many) and that can lead to disempowerment. I personally suspect that we will see the increasing gap in the students in at least two ways - the haves and have not's (whether that is technology, resources, supportive families, etc) and in those students who have teachers who have be...en developing their ability to be self-regulated learners and those who have focused on covering content. The real opportunity of this time is the shaking up it will have on automatic and habitual teaching and learning. It won't look nice. It won't be happy at times. But it will, with a bit of nudging, shift the thinking of teachers and learners. It will require hard work and deep thinking (as any paradigm shift does). #learning #teachingandlearning #learners #teaching
