18.01.2022 Saturday Juniors parents/caters/drivers... PLEASE NOTE!! There are speed limit signs on the Showground that need to be abided by, PLEASE!! The alternative, which is easily done, is that the front gates will be closed to access for basketball & you will have to park at the sports fields & walk through the nearest gate. Any more concerns from the caretaker regarding speeding vechiles & this will be the process going forward. ... There are campers, kids, pets & sometimes horses within the grounds. Slow down or we’ll be walking in. Tane

16.01.2022 Inverell Junior Basketball 2020, that’s a wrap!! I’ve expressed my appreciation for the efforts of the people running the Saturday games on the weekend. Their enthusiasm helped build some interest in the 12-16yo run that has been going for over 2 years now. Yes it started just to get my son running around but we were lucky enough to start with a core group of about 8 players, most of whom are still playing. One tenacious lady amongst the thorns who continues to hold her own........ Chris, thank you. Yourself, Tony & the whole Danthonia community have done so much for the Association & helped with games at all levels. I still get a thrill out of seeing the walls up & do truly appreciate your help. So, the Inverell RSM by the numbers results... Bulls def Danthonia Design Warriors 19-14 Celtics def 76’ers 20-16 Danthonia Design Warriors def RSM Heat 16-12 Bulls def Celtics 18-10 Danthonia Design Warriors def 76’ers 18-16 Bulls def RSM Heat 20-11 Best game I’ve seen all year, Celtics V 76’ers. Great passing & cutting for good open shots. Defence was pretty good, the passes & cuts were just better. Sam T opened the scoring with an outside shot & the team welcomed back Cooper T after a week off. All players on both teams scored. Super impressive considering Harry wasn’t there but still managed 2 points on the scoresheet. Clearly my pre-game rant about paying attention was lost on some....???? Another 3 wins for the Bulls. Kane top scoring for the week with 15 & Sam had a 10 & 12 point effort in his last games before heading off next school year. Kane is going to miss him! The Warriors were short on players so had some free agents play for them & managed a couple of wins. Derek very consistent with 8,8 & 10 point games. Big Tom stepped up with a 6 point game! Outscored his brother George by 4 for the week! Thank you players, thank you parents! Safe & happy holidays!

14.01.2022 Draw for this Saturday 14th of November. There has been some changes to the teams and an additional team added to each division. Please make sure you check for your child’s name and ensure you are aware of which team they are in.... Below this weeks round of games is a draw for this term up until we break for Christmas. The team listed as having the bye each week in the 8, 9 years Mini Ball division are welcome to attend the 9:00am session with the Aussie Hoops players. See you all Saturday

09.01.2022 Saturday Juniors..... Vannessa has spent a lot of time re-organising teams & getting the rest of the years draw done. THANK YOU Vannessa on behalf of the kids & parents!!! Parents, now it’s your turn. Register the kids before Saturday or please let us know you can’t & they won’t be playing so we can organise replacement players.. The link is at the top of the FB page. Over 60% of the kids are already registered so I assume there’s no problems anymore with the link. If the p...layers aren’t registered by game time Saturday we will start offering team spots to late players who are still asking if they can get onto a team. Please feel free to share/tag/send this post in case you’re worried somebody hasn’t or won’t see it. Friday night I’ll be posting first names & initials of players we’re still waiting on so that there is no confusion as to why the kids can’t play on Saturday. 08.01.2022 What a difference a year makes....?!? Hope all are safe, well & hopefully enjoying a break or some family time. Our clothesline, well I wouldn’t have expected to see most of 20 sets of jerseys for Junior teams!!??!! Stay safe, enjoy & we’ll see you around the end of January!! And, Happy New Year!... Please note!!! That Lakers rubbish is not mine, Miss Piper responsible for that! Lucky it’s Kobe. Had to throw my Celtics some respect!

If any child is going to be away, which is very understandable, if you could please let us know as early as possible in case we need to find players to fill out a team.
