13.01.2022 Excited that my painting Through Thick and Thin is currently available and on display at the @inverellartgallery in country NSW Unfortunately I was not able... to attend the opening of the annual Inverell Art Prize exhibition on Saturday night as I am in Queensland! Thank you @inverellartgallery for sharing the exhibition on your stories- so many beautiful works on display. These are some photos I took during my visit to Inverell at the start of the year. I went to explore Inverell while dropping off a custom collection of mugs for the gallery and visited my @hiwhytey cow that now lives there. This turned into a colour hunting trip during bushfire season. The theme of the Art Prizes Special Feature in 2020 was Country of Extremes and the landscape out there is certainly that. 04.01.2022 #Repost @rodgrant On Saturday I was fortunate enough to win second prize in the open section of the Inverell Art Prize. It is a detailed collagraph about the fires earlier in 2020 and I would like to thank the Inverell Art Gallery and Society as well as the sponsors, Richard Crooke Constructions, for this award. This is a fine and well organised Regional Gallery that is very much moving forward in their promotion of the Arts in this region. These Galleries should always have our support!
03.01.2022 Just a little look at our gorgeous Inverell Art Gallery ! We welcomed Pip Williams to the Gallery in February to capture our stunning building and gallery spaces . Pip’s images will be seen in an editorial in Downtown Magazines next issue (May) and for in an update to our website coming later this year . We are super excited about our next Exhibition opening next month - our Contemporary Exhibition is a highlight and always a very popular and successful exhibition . Last year... we were closed due to Covid and our Opening and the entire exhibition was held behind close doors . Needless to say this year we will be making up for it !!! The Art Gallery would love to invite last years artists as well as a wonderful line up for the 2021 Contemporary to visit beautiful Inverell for the Opening . There will also be a PDF catalogue of works to view closer to the exhibition opening . See more
