09.01.2022 Interesting, I tried the Deceased Search for my great grandmother (I knew where her grave was) and it brought up the gravesite ok but then when I put her husbands name in it couldnt find him and yet he is beside her! Maybe give it a go and see what can be found.

08.01.2022 Forgotten Diggers are a group of volunteers who work enthusiastically and steadily to identify and mark the burial plots of returned men of the first AIF from... NSW who do not have a marked grave. Forgotten Diggers was formed by John Thomas the President of the 45th Infantry Battalion Association. This week, John helped place a cross on the grave of Sapper George Stormer, 1st Tunnelling Company, at Tingha in the New England district of NSW. He was delighted to have his great, great, great grand daughter, Sonya, in attendance. John is particularly keen to thank the Inverell Shire Council for their co-operation in this event and also the Cross Supporters, those generous people who make and then donate cross-markers, like the one depicted here, to place on the unmarked grave. Lest we Forget

02.01.2022 Some great tips for you when researching your family history. Some things you may not think about and they can sitting there right in front of you, such as talk...ing to your elderly friends and relatives before it is too late. As we rely more and more on online resources, we must always remember that they may not always be accurate, as the script may be hard to read which can lead to inaccuracies in translation.
