24.01.2022 On Monday 13th July at vacation care we will be participating in 'Minute to Win it' games and we will have teams for these games. The below are the children in each team and their colour.... we invite the children to come to vacation care on Monday wearing something that is their team colour if they would like to. 22.01.2022 Welcome back to vacation care Today children engaged in lots of new board games and craft inside. In the afternoon we had Alex & Josh vist vacation care teaching children and educators about Indigenous dancing. Josh & Alex discussed Gamilaraay names for emu Dhinawan and Kanagroo Bandaarr they then played a dancing game with the children using the traditional names of animals. All children participated in this fun activity. See you tomorrow ... REMINDER Excursion tomorrow to tenpin bowling. Lunch will be provided Bus will be leaving at 9:30 we will be back at approximately 12:30

21.01.2022 Another excursion today we enjoyed a bus trip to watch an amazing experience at Cirkus Maximas today, the performers were amazing , all the children had a fantastic time.. after the show we attended a circus workshop, where the children learnt how to balance a plate on a stick, juggle and all sorts of hula hoop tricks. In the afternoon we enjoyed outdoors, playing totem tennis, a game of limbo and kicking around a soccer ball. It’s been a wonderful fir...st week of Vacation Care, we look forward to next week with many activities planned. See you on Monday

20.01.2022 Tuesday 14th July Today at vacation care we went on an excursion to the Inverell In Sports Arena. The children divided into teams and played soccer working together as a team to see how many goals they could get. After In Sports Arena we went back to Rugby Park and the children played musical chairs, did some crafts and find a word puzzles.

18.01.2022 Monday 12th Today children painted their pots in preparation for the excursion tomorrow to Best Garden. Children also enjoyed outdoor play with the totem tennis and running games. Children finished the day with some just dance and musical chairs. REMINDER... Excursion tomorrow to best garden Bus leaves at approximately 9:30 Please ensure your children are dressed appropriately (enclosed shoes, hats etc) Please pack your children morning tea and lunch Please ensure your children have water bottles See you all tomorrow

15.01.2022 Today we had some messy fun as we made our own slime and goop and also got creative with some clay. The children also participated in many activities including musical chairs, painting, todem tennis, card games, just dance, LEGO and mobilo construction and much more

13.01.2022 Monday 13th July Today at vacation care we split into teams and participated in ‘Minute to Win It’ games. There was so much cheering from the children as they cheered on their team mates and also lots of laughs from the children and educators watching the determination to complete the tasks. We also worked together on some chalk drawing, got active with just dance and some of the children continued to search for gems in the dirt left from fossicking last Friday. Today we also participated in a fire drill which went smoothly ensuring all children know what to do in the case of a fire at vacation care

11.01.2022 Tomorrow Tuesday 29th September we are heading to Billabong Blue Fossicking Park. We are leaving Rugby Park at 9:45am and returning by 3pm and we will be supplying a sausage sizzle lunch. Please remember your hats and water bottles

09.01.2022 Wednesday 15th July Today we had Joey and Jess from the Ministry of Personal Training visit vacation care and do some fitness circuits with the children. Joey started with a talk about healthy eating habits and then a warm up, then some fitness circuits and finishing with a cool down with Jess. The children showed great enthusiasm for this fitness training with so many laughs and great team work.

09.01.2022 Today we had a great time at Copeton Dam in the water park, playground and playing some ball games. We also enjoyed a picnic lunch before more water play and then returning to Rugby Park

08.01.2022 We had a very active day today with Joey from Ministry of Personal Training come and do a fitness circuit with the children. The children also enjoyed some messy play with some shaving foam fun in the afternoon

07.01.2022 We had a relaxing last day of vacation care today with movies and popcorn, board games and lots of outdoor activities.... thank you everyone and we look forward to seeing you all next holidays

06.01.2022 Today at Vacation Care we visited Best Nursery Gardens. Brett was our tour guide, showing the children around the grounds and sharing his knowledge on plants and how they recycle water at the gardens. The children had an opportunity to feed fish, catch and pat chooks and take a closer look at the budgies. We purchased some beautiful flowers for our pots that we had painted the day before and when we returned back to Vacation Care, children chose their plants and planted them.

04.01.2022 Tomorrow Tuesday 14th July at vacation care we are going on an excursion to the Inverell In sports arena The bus will be departing at 9:50 am and we will be returning to Rugby Park at 12pm. Please ensure your child has appropriate clothing and shoes for this and also a water bottle

03.01.2022 Friday 10th July What a great day to finish the week at vacation care..,, we were unable to visit Billabong Blue Fossicking park but thanks to Billabong Blue, House To Home and the Inverell Tourist Centre we were still able to do fossicking at Rugby Park with the children. The children spent most of the day sieving the dirt and finding little gems for them to keep. For lunch we had a sausage sizzle picnic followed by outdoor games and dress ups. It has been a great first week at vacation care and we look forward to seeing everyone again next week

02.01.2022 Yesterday ( Thursday) Vacation Care children took an excursion to Goonoowigall Reserve, children explored the scenic granite country with low hills and large granite boulders marking the skyline. Children investigated the holes in the granite rocks made by the rain. On our bush walk there were numerous sign posts giving us information about the special local wildlife and rare plants. We all travelled by bus, enjoying our morning tea in the nature. Today, Friday we are looking forward to Cirkus Maximus, All the children are super excited, we can’t wait to share some photos with you today.
