22.01.2022 2020 has been a year or stop, starts, change and adaption. Thank you to our Coaches and Team Managers who have continuously showed up to be there for our teams, and giving thier best with the constant changes. A big thank you to our kids, parents and seniors who have stuck with us, with unwavering support as the club navigated this year to try and bring you as much soccer as we possibly could. Last night was our final training night for the year, and the last time we get to see our Stars Family for a little while. The 8's and 10's were framed with this lovely rainbow...hopefully a sign of positive days ahead! Please stay safe over the coming weeks.
22.01.2022 We appreciate that today is a challenging day for many. The decision to run training tonight before the Stage 3 restrictions are imposed at midnight was not made lightly. In the end we want to give our members the opportunity to have one last kick and say goodbye to our friends before we go into this next phase of lockdown. It is of upmost importance that we do this safely. As has been happening the last couple of weeks, hands and equipment must be sanitised before and after play. All attendees over the age of 12 must now wear a mask. Please respect social distancing if you are spectating or supervising your child. Please do not attend if you are unwell. All junior training is running as usual for a $2 donation. Women's TBA, MENS TRAINING IS CANCELLED.
21.01.2022 Please remember to register via playfootball.com.au as soon as possible so we can finalise our teams for 2021! We are back to training this week so it would be great to see some more registrations coming through!
21.01.2022 REMINDER: NO JUNIOR TRAINING TONIGHT, TRAINING WILL RESUME AS PER NORMAL NEXT WEEK.
21.01.2022 A reminder that training will be going ahead tonight. Please bring your $2 for the collection tin (no change available), own drink bottle and ensure you abide by covid regulations. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful afternoon for a kick. Register now via playfootball.com.au using the 'pay offline option' if you haven't already. No rego, no play.
20.01.2022 2021 is fast approaching and now is a great time to see what you can do to ensure that Inverloch Stars keeps offering football to our community. We are always looking for more helpers, whether it's fulfilling a formal role, general committee members or people on the ground on game day. Current positions looking to be filled are: President, Vice President, Treasurer (preferred with software access), Merchandise coordinator, Canteen Manager, Fundraising Manager, Game day Coo...rdinators, Senior and Junior Coordinators. Many hands make light work and if everyone puts in a bit of their time it means a smooth, enjoyable time for all. If you think you can help we'd love for you to join our Annual General Meeting which will be held via ZOOM this Thursday at 7pm. Please see the details below and we look forward to seeing some new faces. 19.01.2022 Senior Training is back for 2021! Starting from next Wednesday the 3rd of February we will be kicking off our pre-season training for both the Women’s and Men’s teams. We will be offering both a Monday and Wednesday night session from 7pm. After a Covid frustrating 2020 season we’re looking forward to a great start as we build to the new season. It’s with great pleasure to announce that Senior Men’s Coach for this year will be Stuart Watene (Or as we affectionately call him ... Kiwi Stu). Stu comes with a great deal of experience playing in State League 5 with Sommerville SC before coming to Inverloch in 2019. He has incredible passion for the game and will be a great leader for the team. Joe Licciardi continues as Men’s Reserves Coach for another year. He is no stranger to the coaching caper having pretty much coached every team in the club, including the senior Men’s team in 2016 and as he continues to remind everyone, was the first senior Men’s coach to win a trophy at the club. Great to have you back on board Joey!! Myself (Gene Parini) will be assisting with the Men’s teams, mainly with training sessions and when required on match days. I’m really excited about the year ahead, with many young players coming through it will be great to work with Stu and Joe. The Women’s team coach will be announced in due course. Any players from the Women’s team are welcome to attend upcoming training until something is confirmed, we combined at the beginning of last year and it ran really well. Anyone is welcome to join in training. Looking forward to catching up with everyone from next Wednesday but a reminder that we are still very much bound by the Covid 19 protocols so please make yourselves familiar by accessing the link below. https://www.footballvictoria.com.au//updated-return-play-c

17.01.2022 With the introduction of Stage 3 restrictions in regional Victoria from midnight Wednesday, this week will be our final opportunity to offer training. Seeing the great turn out for seniors and juniors, and the enthusiasm of the kids has made the countless hours of hard work from our committee and volunteers worth it even if we only got a couple of weeks in. So come along Wednesday afternoon for a final kick with your mates. Please observe the updated covid restrictions, any person in attendance over 12 must be wearing a mask to and from the pitch. Masks may be removed during play. Ensure registered via playfootball.com.au and please bring $2 to cover costs. Thank you to all of our Stars family!

12.01.2022 This is a call out to all girls turning 14, 15, 16 and 17 this year. We are so close to having good numbers for an U17 Girls team. This would be a massive achievement for our club, the league and soccer in general and we really want to see more girls out there giving it a go in a fun and inclusive environment. If you've played before, or just interested in having a go, come down to Wednesday night training at 6pm...and bring a friend pic thanks to @weplaystrong

09.01.2022 Something exciting is coming to Inverloch... ISSC is pleased to announce that we will be welcoming Melbourne Victory Football Club to Thompson Reserve on Sunday Feb 14!
06.01.2022 Please, if you are able, put your support behind one of our Star families who are going through an unimaginably hard time. Sending Alexis and the Van Oss family all of our love. https://www.gofundme.com/f/for-alexis-van-oss
04.01.2022 Well it’s been a difficult year to say the least and I think we are all still trying to navigate through the fall out as best we can. And even though we haven’t had a season this year, the club has been active behind the scenes to keep things moving forward. In relation to registration refunds, the club has been doing its best to advocate for a full refund for its paid members. But its seems the decision by Football Victoria (FV) to refund only a percentage will stand. There...fore, the club has decided to offer the following three options: Request a full refund, in which case the club will fund the FV portion out of its own moneys. Or request a 50% refund, in which case the FV portion will be covered and the club will receive a small donation from the balance. Or make a 100% donation to the club, in which case the club will receive its usual amount as donation to contribute towards its running costs, such as rent, electricity and water, which it must still pay despite the season not proceeding. If you are a paid up member this year, and you want either a full or partial refund, please email our club secretary with: - your bank details - player names - and your choice of a full or half or no refund before 30 October at: [email protected]
04.01.2022 Thank you to those who attended the ISSC AGM last night. Unfortunately we are still struggling to fill key positions within the club. We understand that 2020 has been challenging on many levels for everyone and appreciate that many people's buckets are already full... BUT without your input 2021 is looking just as challenging for our beloved club.... We need people to put their hands up to fill specific roles within the club. The current committee can't do it all and we are calling on our members to step up! Volunteering can be daunting but you are joining an inclusive and supportive committee that is passionate about our club and the game! Over the next couple of days we will be highlighting the roles that are available. If you think these are positions you can help with then please get in touch!
04.01.2022 Thanks again for your patience in regards to the refunds. All requested refunds have been processed, however there are a few who haven't been in touch. If you'd like your money refunded or have not received your money yet, please contact the Club Secretary Taegan Holford on [email protected] or Direct Message the Facebook page.
04.01.2022 Junior training tonight 5pm, U17 6pm, Seniors 7pm
03.01.2022 We hope you've saved the date!
02.01.2022 A great opportunity for any local women who have been interested in having a kick and giving soccer a try in a social and relaxed environment!
01.01.2022 Hello players, parents and supporters, did you know our club is run by a small number of volunteers who work together to bring soccer to the community. Behind the scenes there is a lot to do in any ordinary season from online registrations, finances, volunteer coordination, canteen to setup and pack down. We have a fantastic volunteer committee but after a number of years we will be saying goodbye to a number of long standing members who’ve stayed on to support the club lon...g after their personal ties ended. We are looking for anyone interested in joining the committee to help keep our club growing. We would love to hear from anyone interested in becoming a general member as well as anyone who might be interested in one of following roles: President, Vice-President, Treasurer (with access to accounting software ideal), Merchandise Coordinator, Canteen Manager, Fundraising Manager, Game Day Coordinator(s), Seniors Coordinator or Juniors Coordinator. Please contact Club President Al Starkey on 0421 451 612 for more information or email [email protected]
