22.01.2022 The sun has finally started to come out on the Eyre Peninsula! It's good timing too because it's also National Skin Cancer Action Week. Remember to Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek and Slide whenever the UV index is above 3. It's sobering to read that Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Each year almost 2,000 Australians die from this almost entirely preventable disease. If it's been a while since you've had a comprehensive skin check give us a call. We even have a high tech Mole Mapping system to help manage your skin cancer risk. Ask us about this service when you call.

10.01.2022 For those that haven't heard, the new SA Health face mask policy took effect today. Single use surgical masks now need to be worn in all healthcare centres which includes GP clinics. We have a limited number for sale for our patients but we encourage you to bring your own. To assist with contact tracing SA Health have now introduced COVID Safe Check In. As a Healthcare Centre we are required to use this check in method. All you need to do is download the mySA GOV app from the Apple or Android store and then use this to scan the QR code when checking in. You don't need to have a registered mySA GOV account, you just need the app. If you don't have a smart phone we'll still have the ability to sign you in manually. It's a changing world but we're all in this together and we appreciate your patience while we adapt to the new rules!

10.01.2022 The latest numbers from the Parafield cluster are looking good, well done SA but we're not there yet! SA Health are strongly recommending masks are worn in Health Care Centres. Considering how important it is to have our rural clinics open throughout the pandemic we have made masks mandatory in our practice. Please make sure you have your mask with you when attending your next appointment.

08.01.2022 There has been a change in the direction from SA Health to now allow cloth face masks to be worn in health care settings. Single use surgical masks are still acceptable to wear but you can now bring your own cloth mask if you have one. What a great job all of our patients and staff have been doing wearing face masks at the clinic. We really appreciate your understanding and helping to keep our clinic COVID free. Keep up the good work!

05.01.2022 Some good news delivered today by SA Health but we still need to be vigilant. If you're wearing the disposable type masks think of how you are disposing of them, not only in regards to infection control, but also consider the environment. Check out this information from the RSPCA about a simple thing you can do to look after our wildlife here on the EP.

01.01.2022 Although some restrictions are easing at midnight tonight please be aware that SA Health has now made single use surgical masks mandatory for all staff and patients attending health care centres including GP clinics. Reusable masks are no longer able to be worn in health care centres. We have a limited number of these masks for sale to patients at the clinic but we encourage you to bring your own. For full details refer to the SA Health website which should be updated by tomorrow. https://www.sahealth.sa.gov.au//infectious+diseas/covid-19
