20.01.2022 #musings #truthbombfromSoul I got a message from Soul over the weekend that ‘it’s insane to believe that there is no time or heaps of time’. Some of the messages are like this kind of like a slap in the face with a cold fish of truth that’s for my benefit. ... I’m used to it. One of my guides must be rather blunt. Or likes using shock therapy. And yes. They’re right. It’s a common illusion I fall into the time matrix. The only real time is in this moment. . So, I’ve been practising dropping in. Sitting, spending time to stop. It’s gives me more time and blows my mind again & again. . One of those counter-intuitive things. So, the message is: It’s insane to say (to yourself & others) that you don’t have the time. Or even don’t have the money. Better to say things like: It’s not enough of a priority for me right now to create the time (or money) I actually don’t want to XXX (this is powerful in itself worthy of a whole post just on this topic) OR I’m in the illusion of no time (or money) and haven’t yet busted through/transcended that (powerful to just claim it for yourself and more honest) Probably the most powerfully true statement: I’m in the illusion of not having enough of it, and don’t want to actually transcend out of that. . Not having the resources is a HUGE collusion in our society. People seem to accept it. Kind of like the different reactions I get when I say ‘I’m allergic to chocolate’ versus ‘I don’t want to eat chocolate’ (both statements are true,). In the first one, people nod and say ‘oh ok’ or ‘that sux’. In the second one, I get ‘you’re crazy!’ and a lot of people eating it luxuriously in front of me with noises as if to make me feel envious (I find this super weird behaviour, it happens A LOT). You tell people you don’t have the time or money, & they go ‘oh OK’ or ‘that sux’. People say they want more time & money, but truthfully it’s uncomfortable to break the glass ceiling that you’re used to. And the illusion that there’s nothing you can do about it is so seductive . I’m not saying it’s easy not at all! It’s uncomfortable to change it. And honestly, sometimes that discomfort isn’t worth it enough. The time or money you have is a construct of a deep unconscious pattern under the surface creating behaviours & habits that create the reality you experience. For example, you might have Shame to ask for a pay rise, or shame around asking someone for help could be part of it. A sense of powerlessness & incapability (I touched on that before, it’s pretty seductive). A deep fear to say no to someone, or even yes to something. Or something else Whatever it is, under the surface, it’s designed to hold you in the exact reality you’re experiencing. Until you take the time to decide otherwise. <3

19.01.2022 So fascinating! This article (if you can handle the depth it goes into) highlights how much we still are finding out about the physical body. I watched a webinar the other week about the intricate mechanisms in the cervix to filter out mutated sperm - and how it was natural that some were mutated, hence the filtering mechanism. And it stores them too, to increase chances of fertilisation (I'd heard of this before).... This articles gives even more information to undo old myths. <3 Reading "Epigenetics" too (not related to this article) and the importance of good pre-natal nutrition to avoid disorders such as cerebral palsy, Down's, cystic fibrosis, even sociopathy. So much to discover - the body is a fascination! <3 https://aeon.co//the-idea-that-sperm-race-to-the-egg-is-ju

18.01.2022 SHARED VISIONS with Peter Senge One thing, I did not ask you to come up with some aspect of your vision that you probably would be inspired by. I did not ask you to come up with some aspect of your vision that they would connect to. I did not ask you to do any of these things with your partner, I just said, talk about your vision. ... This is not a trivial point. In fact, I would say this was most important points to appreciate. When we are really ourselves, when we really connect with who we are and what we care about, and we have the confidence and support being forthright and honest, we find each other. We discover the innate, deep, commonality that are aspirations. Carl Rogers once said this very beautiful, the American Psychologist, he said, that which is most personal is most universal. If that were not the case, there wouldn’t be no shared visions. When you really understand that you get the deep foundation, the deep underbelly, of shared visions. Now shared visions involves more that just this but it always comes back to this. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen so much money, time, energy, aspirations wasted because people try to create shared visions. And I say, let the people talk to each other, let them reflect on what matters to them. You know you’re kind of over here busy trying to build a shared vision and turning your back on the very thing that will lead to shared visions, which is, create an environment where people are continually reflecting on what matters to them. Having conversations where they can connect with each other and you will start to discover elements of the shared vision. Again, there’s more to do, but still like when we try to build a house when you build no foundation. This is the foundation. If you understand that, you will get good at building houses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaw_xAaxZPo

15.01.2022 #tip If you’re taking action towards your purpose/calling (in terms of your vocation, that is your purpose is more than just your vocation), then you’re on purpose. It doesn’t matter if you’re struggling or not.... You’re either on it or not. . Even if things aren’t going your way, you can still be on it. When you think about inspiring documentaries or stories, were they interesting because the person didn’t have a struggle or problem to overcome? Were you engaged because they had a dream & it just got presented at their feet and everyone lived happily ever after, the end? That’s a boring story to be telling someone in future. . It’s beautiful to feel in flow But it’s also super satisfying & inspiring when you create a new path forged by the limitations that you had fallen into. Don’t make meaning out everything that goes wrong that’s not the best use of your mind. Use that frustration, dissatisfaction, even melancholy as uncomfortable fuel to create new options in your mind. Mental flexibility is a gift & a skill. . And here’s a Joseph Campbell quote I enjoyed this morning: As you proceed through life, following your own path, birds will shit on you. Don't bother to brush it off. Getting a comedic view of your situation gives you spiritual distance. Having a sense of humor saves you. Joseph Campbell

10.01.2022 #musings You are not your body. You are not your mind (or the thoughts that come from that), your emotions, your level of energy or motivation... and definitely not your body.... It is just a mechanism in which we experience this lifetime. The more that you over-identify with it, the harder it is to stay wise to what your 'mechanism' needs. . If you are not your mechanism, then who are you? Buckminster Fuller calls who you truly are the PHANTOM CAPTAIN. The one who 'really' drives the ship of your electro-chemical combination of inanimate energy molecules... The Yoruba (spiritual concepts of some West African countries, & also in Afro-Brazilian Candomble) call it Ori. Which means 'head' & refers to your intuition & spiritual destiny. Your DIVINE SELF. Orishas are the 'gods/goddesses' of Candomble & the Yoruba. Your Ori is also considered an Orisha. . Does this mean, then, that you shouldn't care for your body & mind? . No... not at all. It's your vehicle. The more you care for it, and provide it with the fuel & maintenance it needs - the more it can take you where your Phantom Captain/Ori/true self wishes to navigate. . And the more you poison it, whether in the physical or the mind, the more it will wither and struggle. . But you are not your vehicle. You are not your body, or your mind, emotions or level of energy. As soon as you over-identify, the harder it is to 'remember' what you are really capable of. And that you were part of this creation. . And so, you are able to create the changes you need. And draw in the resources to aid that as well. <3

09.01.2022 #musings At the shops today, I witnessed a customers telling off a couple of young staff at BOOST. I tried not to show I was witnessing the whole thing but it was hard not to be dragged into the drama, even if looking the other way!...Continue reading

07.01.2022 How Trauma & PTSD Affect Our Nervous System A very interesting watch about the allowance or inhibition for the natural resolution in the ANS (autonomic nervous system). And how you might get in the way of it.... I have definitely considered the 2 ways that pain can be perpetuated inside - through suppression & over-identifying with it, but haven't heard it quite like this before. A very cool graph <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHDlkWhGLNc

07.01.2022 #givingthanks I'm thankful to my health and the journey that has led me to here. Thankful that I no longer feel a victim to the sensations in my body - and can use them to discover deeper what's happening under the surface. Even more importantly, feeling comfortable in my own skin, feeling connected to myself. ... Thankful to this magnificent bio-machine of my body. It really is an amazing creation. Pure magic. <3

05.01.2022 #tip This is a favourite of mine... I wish I came up with it! (the original model of the 3 reasons why). Even with the best of new year intentions, those new health changes & other habits don’t always happen in flow. ... This was shared to me a few years back & I though it was brilliant, and still use it for clarity every so often. It helps like a parting of the clouds on a dreary day. If you’re not taking the action/s you intended, there are one of 3 possibilities why: 1. You don’t want to (if you were really honest) 2. You don’t know what to do 3. You have a block If I'm stuck, I go through them one at a time in that order. The reason becomes clear and then I can think of something I can do about it. Usually, the remedy is as per the numbering above: 1. Let it go or reframe so you do want it 2. Come up with a plan so you can know (or just realise that you do know that next step) 3. Work out the belief & unravel it (you can use whatever technique you know or find support). PS - I have a belief unravelling technique session if you need suppory. Just PM me & I can share details/answer questions. If you tried it, what did you get? <3

04.01.2022 #musings I saw an online government ad recently for mental health support. And I was a little taken aback. ... It was well meaning but the message was strange when you sat and really considered what they were really saying. The message was Get help now. While it’s great that mental health awareness is building and the government is working to de-stigmatise mental health, there were overtones of it still not being OK. Get help now is different to Be supported. Maybe I’m expecting too fast of a cultural shift? If you look at (physical) pain ads, you won’t see the same undertones. The mental health services that receive funding from the government don’t have this feeling in their message. They don’t look at it as if it’s something to be solved straight away so we can sweep it under the carpet. One of the biggest problems for people who suffer from mental health, is not they have it, but that they don’t fully accept it. That’s where the suffering is at. It is exactly the same for physical pain. And if truly honest, while culturally we are shifting to be more accepting of it existing in society we are not accepting of people having it (as a collective, not necessarily individuals). Because it makes you feel uncomfortable, right? If people are ‘out of control’, you feel out of control of the situation. It makes you feel helpless. So, perhaps, if we feel helpless perhaps it is really US that needs to ‘get help now’. Maybe it’s totally fine that someone has a mental health condition. It doesn’t mean they should stay stuck in that (unless they wish to), but the intense stress in not wanting it to exist can make the suffering worse. As a supporter of someone with mental health, you may not be saying it out loud that you don’t want it to exist in front of you, but your body language conveys the message loud & clear. And who doesn’t have some mental health issue anyway? If you have a mind & you have emotions, then things go a bit topsy turvy once in a while. It’s not an ‘us’ against ‘them’. It’s just that each individual has their own level of intensity and duration. A level of acceptance is needed in all of us. Maybe the government will start catching up eventually on this one. <3

03.01.2022 The Myths About Breathing Oxygen vs Carbon Dioxide. Breathing is so under-rated! It changes your mood, changes feelings of anxiety, shifts your blood pH levels, can warm up cold hands/feet, and reduce angina symptoms. ... Here's an interesting article: https://ezinearticles.com/
