25.01.2022 Carbon. Super important building block of life, bit of a nuisance when floating around in the atmosphere. Long time Ionata client Country Carbon is helping deal with the second part by providing investment opportunities in carbon banks around Australia.

25.01.2022 The Vic Tav is for sale! Quite urgently apparently. We have such a high number of home brewers on staff, we should totally buy it...right? Crazy not to.

24.01.2022 Conservation through collaboration. We’re pretty protective of the natural beauty and wilderness of Tasmania. The health of our state is something Tasmanians highly value, and maintaining this is something we can all contribute to. Utilising technology to help preserve Tasmanian flora and fauna? Sounds good to us. We collaborated with the Tasmanian Land Conservancy @tasland - a for-purpose, apolitical, science and community-based organisation that protects nature on pri...vate land. Together, we developed the WildTracker app (mobile) and dashboard (in browser). WildTracker allows conservationists and landholders to work together to monitor, manage, maintain and ultimately preserve our natural environment. Private landholders or conservationists can use the WildTracker app to take and upload photos, and enter data about their holdings. The app computes and analyses the data, produces in-depth reporting around the health of the localised flora and fauna, with the resulting data then compared to other localities, regions and broader metrics. Together we can help preserve Tasmania's wilderness for the benefit of current and future generations, and for nature itself. View the website (or sign up to take part in the program) here: https://www.wildtracker.com.au/ #tasmania #appdesign #webdesign #ux #ui #conservation #wilderness #keeptassiewild @ Hobart, Tasmania See more

22.01.2022 2020 has been tough for organisations big and small but were proud to stand with other TasICT members who are supporting organisations moving to online service delivery. #tasmaniatogether

22.01.2022 Were making sure that you eat your vegetables. The flexible ordering system we developed for Best Fresh Wholesale makes it even easier for local businesses to access the freshest produce available in Tasmania.

22.01.2022 In an emergency people need quick access to critical information from their phones so the new SES Tasmania is designed to be mobile first ensuring the public can easily access information about floods or other emergencies in real time.

20.01.2022 One from the vault: Hands up who remembers the Ionata Tower game? http://tower.ionata.com.au/ We sent it out as a Christmas card way back in 2011!... So crank up some Party Rock Anthem and party like Donald Trump was just a minor TV star touting a book he had ghost written.

20.01.2022 Work & Training Tasmania are committed to increasing the skills and employment opportunities of all Tasmanians, including working with indigenous and culturally-diverse people, long-term unemployed, and people with a disability. We were thrilled to work with them! Have a look: https://www.workandtraining.com.au/

20.01.2022 Who doesn’t love a little retail therapy? And if you’ve made it this far through 2020 you definitely deserve it. Head over to Sotto Boutique’s new online store to get your summer wardrobe popping.

18.01.2022 Curringa Farm is an icon. Farm stay accommodation in the heart of Tasmania with Tim and Jane who have been farming in Tasmania for 6 generations. We know this award winning accommodation has been on your wishlist for ever so why not take the chance to get along and a support local tourism operator and enjoy their award winning hospitality at the same time! (In other news they have a snazzy new website)

16.01.2022 Our sister business Gulliver has been working with Menzies Institute for Medical Research for last 6 months developing the technology that will be used in this study. Volunteer now to find out if regularly catching the bus improves your health!

15.01.2022 Were always happy when we can make a process better. For a while now weve been working with Marine and Safety Tasmania - MAST to digitise some of the time-consuming paperwork thats required when you own a boat or need a boat licence. Service design is about making sure that when we move a process online it makes things better - both for the agency that delivers the service and for the citizen that uses it. Were delighted to announce you can now notify MAST that youve so...ld or disposed of your boat online. https://www.mast.tas.gov.au/recreat/online-licence-checker/

14.01.2022 Remember that screen licking pug? 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon? Nyan Cat? Whats your favourite internet moment?

14.01.2022 Tasmanian Bar ... no, not kind of bar, kind of bar. They are the peak body for specialist legal advice in Tasmania. Hopefully you won’t need a barrister but if you do they have them and they also have a beautiful new website.

13.01.2022 We have got a surprise in store ... #hohoho

12.01.2022 Website FAQs. Love them or hate them, what side are you on?

11.01.2022 Beth spent the entire day on Friday in a room full of women at The Australian Womens Leadership Symposium. (Yes, were worried. No, she hasnt showed up for work this week. Yet.) She says it was inspiring and heartwarming and funny, as women tend to be, but best of all it made her grateful for our team. A team that sees women as assets, not liabilities, and a workplace that carves out opportunities and supports women.

11.01.2022 How much do you know about Tasmanian Aboriginal culture? Were very proud to have been a part of The Orb project, an interactive resource that supports the teaching of Tasmanian Aboriginal histories and cultures. Congratulations to our mates at DCNSTRCT Creative Studio for a super fine job creating the amazing multimedia resources available through The Orb website.

11.01.2022 Beth and Benjamin launched this shiny new website for The Friends School last week and were really quite thrilled with it! (Sadly no Ross and Rachel memes, but we thought we should keep it professional.) Go and have a look and tell us what you think! https://www.friends.tas.edu.au/

11.01.2022 Those Santa shaped chocolates you just bought may contain traces of nuts but fear not! The Allergen Bureaus Allergen Risk Review website is a freely available interactive guide designed to assist the food industry with understanding the allergen status of its products. https://info.allergenbureau.net/... Big thanks to Holly Webber for collaborating with us on the factory illustrations for this website.

10.01.2022 Our Grand Diemen award winning project: The Orb. A culturally responsive resource, developed for the Aboriginal Education Service. The Orb shares Tasmanian Aboriginal histories and culture through a collection of multimedia resources. Huge team effort from Jordanna, Tim, Nat and Benjamin . We feel extremely proud to have been involved in such an important project (and having an excuse to get dressed up on a Saturday night wasnt half bad either!).

10.01.2022 We made you a little something to say thanks for following us! https://snake.ionata.com.au ... Help our support-line phone find the Ionata team members as they work from home and the office and who knows where else. Wishing you a very merry Christmas and happy 2021

06.01.2022 Exciting news from our sister business Gulliver! We are delighted to share the first destination app based on Gullivers new destination app platform. Huon Valley have been tremendous partner as we roll out this new guide to their region and cant wait to share this technology with other tourist destinations around the world!... The app will also survey visitors to the Huon Valley so that the Tourism Tracer team from the University of Tasmania can study the impact of the recent bush fires on visits to the region.

06.01.2022 December in Tasmania means cherries The Reid family and their dedicated staff have been growing quality fruit since the first orchards were established in southern Tasmania over 160 years ago. They really do grow the worlds best cherries and we were delighted to upgrade their website this year to showcase this Tasmanian export success.... https://www.reidfruits.com/

06.01.2022 Our little mate over here is pretty stoked. He cares about our oceans and hes helping scientists run multi-driver experiment simulations! (Im not entirely sure what that means either - just smile and nod!). Big ups to Tim for 1. Designing and building this thing, and 2. Understanding what it all means. https://meddle-scor149.org/

05.01.2022 Were different. Were genuine. And we have a new website!

05.01.2022 Hands up if you just got a cat to hang out with while you and your family are social distancing Your new furry feline friend is going to need a checkup from time to time and so now is the time to get to know The Cat Clinic Hobart (who just happen to have a slick new website).

04.01.2022 The Huon Valley, green and verdant home to some top notch Huon beings (see what we did there). Meet the makers and growers who bring you the world class produce you know and love or check out the directory of local businesses. We were delighted to work with the Huon Valley Council again on this project with branding and illustration by Cathy McAuliffe.

04.01.2022 Dont you love it when a design POPs Giulia brought out the big design guns for this recent project and I think youd have to agree its a beautiful site. The Human Practice certainly did. Happy client. Happy web designer.

03.01.2022 IT is all dudes sitting in dark rooms drinking Redbull right? Wrong! TasICTs new website showcases the range of careers available in IT with video profiles of some of the many options available (including cameos from some people you might recognize!) http://www.tasict.com.au

03.01.2022 Local doctors. Heart of a community. Helping hand when you’ve come off your bike or found a strange lump. We love Huon Medical Group and we hope they love their new website.

02.01.2022 Search, bid, BUY! Selling an average of 1000 lots a week (!), Gowans Auctions are a 100% Tasmanian owned institution. Attending an auction can be an exciting and memorable experience. Its a modern day treasure hunt! For many people its a social event with the opportunity to acquire a vast range of items at a reasonable cost. For others, its a little trickier to attend and bid. You can now browse from your couch, add items to your wishlist, you can even submit yo...ur absentee bids online. With sold prices and past auction information available, you are able to do your own valuation research, or if youd like a hand, contact one of Gowans experienced professionals for an estimate. What more could you possibly want? (Well, maybe some vintage spoons. Or a japanese woodworking chisel? A gramophone, or some Bentwood chairs?) New items uploaded every Wednesday, and auctions taking place every Friday. Check out Gowans new website and get yourself prepped for this weeks auction - you know you want (NEED) that ukelele... https://www.gowansauctions.com.au/

01.01.2022 We were delighted to work with New Horizons Preschool again on a brand new website. New Horizons has now expanded to two campuses in Lenah Valley and Battery Point. The friendly staff and happy kids were photographed beautifully by Samuel Shelley, capturing the progressive and cooperative style of learning.... Hands up whod like to be a preschooler again! https://newhorizonspreschool.com.au/
