19.01.2022 Check out this great blog post from our distributor in India about Ionode's non-glass KF Probe

15.01.2022 You don’t have to spend huge amounts of money on electrodes to measure samples inside a 1.5mL Eppendorf Tube. As the photos below show, our IJ series is capable of doing this easily. To order please contact your favourite distributor or head to www.ionode.com

12.01.2022 Ionode is developing a new generation of ISEs, which are available in either a single or double junction version. Parameters include fluoride, chloride, bromide, iodide, cyanide or Ag2S. The new additions to the series are PVC based solid-state ISEs which include parameters such as surfactant, phosphate, potassium, sodium, calcium etc. Our new range of ISEs boasts a larger and highly polished surface area, which has an improved detection limit. The new PVC based solid-state ISEs have a special feature to allow the customer to re-generate the ion sensitive membrane with an addition kit, thus significantly decreasing the cost of ownership. Our new generation ISEs will be available for purchase early next year.

10.01.2022 Our P-Series sensors are ideal for educational and laboratory applications where easy refilling and fast, accurate results are required. 09.01.2022 Calomel electrodes, which are traditionally used in laboratory research and cathodic protection applications, are becoming far less favoured and much harder to source due to the toxicity of the internal mercury and the fragility of their glass bodies. The Ionode IJ14 Reference electrode is a safer and far more robust choice for such determinations and has a renewable double junction to make easy work of contaminated samples. Australian made with a tough polypropylene body, th...e IJ14 also delivers much better value for money than calomel. If you need a cheaper, safer and more durable renewable reference electrode that works well in contaminated samples check out the Ionode IJ14. Contact us or comment below if you need advice from one of our scientists about replacing a calomel electrode in your specific application. Available for purchase from your local Ionode Distributor or from https://ionodedirect.com/ionode-ij14-intermediate-junction-

08.01.2022 No matter the make or model of your meter, Ionode has the correct electrode and connector for you!

07.01.2022 During less challenging times before Covid-19, our Operations Manager, Matt was invited to India by one of our leading regional partners - Symmatrix Technochem. The intention of the trip was to share industry knowledge, discuss product development and to support the strong relationships we are developing within the region. Matt and his family are very grateful to Alva from Symmatrix who became their personal guide whilst travelling through 6 of the 28 states in India includi...ng; Mumbai, Pithampur, Goa and Delhi. The owners of Symmatrix, Aparna and Sameer, have been in close commercial contact with Matt for over 4 years now and he was truly grateful to them for the opportunity to meet and discuss our objectives for the future. Thanks for an outstanding trip and we look forward to seeing them again after International travel recommences.

05.01.2022 Ionode will be closed for Christmas commencing December 23rd and will reopen on January 4th 2021. We hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas and New Year break.

05.01.2022 Today we celebrate 70 years of expertise with 3 of our longest serving staff members; Thuy, Nhu Thuy & Matt. Ionode has enjoyed phenomenal growth since forming in 1972 and that growth is due not only to the quality of our products, but also the quality of our people. We congratulate and thank our long serving staff members and appreciate the efforts and dedication of all of our team, no matter what length of time they have spent with us.

02.01.2022 Check out this video from Symmatrix Technochem Pvt Ltd on how to prepare your IJ46 electrode

02.01.2022 One of the questions we’re frequently asked by our customers here at Ionode is ‘How do I store my pH electrode?’ Proper electrode storage maximizes electrode performance and life. For short term storage of up to 2 weeks, store in pH storage solution KS-250. This will extend the life of the reference and prevent dehydration of the membrane and the junction. Short term storage allows for quicker start-up when the electrode is used frequently. DO NOT USE DISTILLED WATER. Stor...ing your electrode in distilled water can leach the pH glass ingredients which accelerates ageing and shortens the electrode’s life. For long term storage of an intermediate junction electrode, like our IJ Series, it is preferable to remove the sleeve, remove the electrolyte, clean the membrane and stem, replace sleeve without adding electrolyte and store safely. For sealed gel type, such as our IH & ECO Series, simply fit the supplied rubber wetting cap and store safely. If you’re storing a refillable electrode, like our P-Series, it is recommended to always use 3M KCl soaking solution and for best results add a dash of pH 4 buffer. Following long term storage, electrodes will require soaking in storage solution for at least one hour to hydrate the membrane and calibration to ensure accuracy.
