25.01.2022 Hi FB Fiends, This week Id like to stick with the theme BALANCE. Are you balancing out the fluids you put into your body each day. ... I believe this is a very important aspect of your life in keeping a healthier you. Not many people know that a large portion of people are dehydrated. One study puts it as high as 80%. Daily recommendations are around 8 glasses or 2 litres per day. Ill talk a little bit more about that later. Ask yourself are all fluids the same I hope you said NO! Take coffee, tea, alcohol for instant these tend to dehydrate the body even more, caffeine being a diuretic and alcohol causing you to urinate about 40% more than you should, in short dehydration. What about cola Now heres a good one.. Caffeine = dehydration. Sodium = thirst Sugar = Addiction WHY WOULD YOU BOTHER?? Then theres all the other soft drinks, sports drinks and juices which = Excessive calories, insulin spikes, huge loss energy sometime later after taking, not to mention addiction. Im not saying dont drink any of these drinks. Im just bring your awareness of some of the affects these drinks can have on your body.. Everything in moderation and balance, its your choice. NOW! getting back to how much water you should drink. As mentioned most people know its recommended to drink 8 glasses or 2 litres of water per day. Hmmmmm! Should someone who weighs 90kgs drink the same amount of water as someone who weighs 60kgs I dont think so! As you may or may not know the body is made up of 75% water. Therefore it makes sense, the bigger you are the more water you should drink. Should you drink the same amount, if you drink lots of coffee, tea, alcohol or cola I dont think so! So how much clear water should you drink? These are the recommendations I have found the best. 32.5 65millilitres per kilo of body weight. 60kgs = 1.95 3.9 litres per day 90kgs = 2.9 5.8 litres per day I recommend If you are drinking any of those other drinks, you should definitely be drinking the higher amount. here are some of the side effects of dehydration: ... Increased thirst ... Dry mouth ... Tied or sleepy ... Headaches ... Dizziness Here are some of the effects you may notice when you are properly hydrated. ...More energy. ...Better sleep ...Clearer head and skin ...Help the body to release and flush out toxins. I weigh 95kgs and drink at least 6-7 litres per day. I trust this has given you a little bit more information or at least triggered you into ensuring you are drinking enough clean clear water. Take charge and create the balance your body needs from the Inside first. I will go in to the what I think is good water and bad another time. Regards, IOWS with Arryn PS These are my personal beliefs and experiences that I have learned through more than 25 years as PT.
24.01.2022 I believe balance is the way to create harmony in your life but it needs to start with you from the inside. It takes a lot of focus as it took me when building this little sculpture, poolside in Bali a few years ago.
08.01.2022 DRINK THIS DAILY Today I would like to talk little bit about celery-the miracle vegetable and one of its incredible benefits particularly CELERY JUICE. As many of you know celery juice has so many good properties such mineral salts and health benefits relating to chronic illnesses.... Illnesses such as Rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, Lyme disease, migraines, vertigo, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, diabetes, psoriasis, eczema, acne, lupus, gastroesophageal reflux disease, gout, bursitis, bloating, intestinal cramping, distention, acid reflux, vertigo, constipation, Just to name a few. The mineral salts in celery help support the central nervous system which means they are extremely healing for people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, memory loss, Alzheimers disease, as well as people who have difficulty with focus and concentration and more. Celery juice is an effective natural diuretic with the ability to flush toxins from the body. Drinking celery juice on its own first thing in the morning also sets up your digestive system for the day. Celery is also beneficial in helping the body balance out your hormones. This is what I would like to touch on. Hormones like estrogen and testosterone.. We all know that an imbalance in these two may cause havoc in the body. Too much estrogen is not a healthy thing for most people and too much testosterone in females is not healthy for a number of reasons. We are all subject to so much chemical estrogen these days with the use of plastic bottle plastic and plastic lined cans being very high on the list. One of the other ways this may occur is the amount of aromatase in the body. Not too many people have heard of aromatase .. So what is it? In short aromatase is an enzyme responsible for a key step in the biosynthesis of estrogens. High levels of aromatase in the body may cause testosterone to be converted to estrogen. Celery Juice has been known to help lower high levels of aromatase preventing this conversion of testosterone. A low testosterone level may lead to loss of muscle, strength, sex drive, bone density and osteoporosis. Women naturally have a low testosterone level although if levels are to low it may also lead to osteoporosis. Mens testosterone naturally declines as they age resulting in all of the above. So! If you are male and wanting to stay younger for longer, make sure your testosterone level are optimal through good diet and exercise. Drinking 450ml of CELERY JUICE on and empty stomach 15mins before breakfast daily for best results may also go a long way to helping your testosterone levels optimise by lowering high levels of aromatase. Not to mention all the other amazing benefits of drinking CELERY JUICE. Where possible try to use organic celery if not make sure to wash it thoroughly. Yours IN Wellbeing Arryn
