21.01.2022 How is everyone going? It’s been a hectic and packed few days so far (with more to come this afternoon) so as we break for lunch don’t forget to eat properly, hydrate well, keep warm and practice self care. Keep following the conversation over on Twitter #IPEdConf19
21.01.2022 An exciting conference requires great presentations. Where does the edge of your editing practice lie? Is it governed by the genres in which you work, the place where you work, the society in which you live? Submissions are open now!... https://iped2021.org.au/call-for-papers/
18.01.2022 What's an editors conference without a bookshop?! Not ours! The Conference Bookshop is as straight-to-the-point and matter-of-factly named as it is full of professional editing titles, including classics by IPEd Distinguished Editors and IPEd members as well as works from our Super Book Club reading lists and more, as well as editing-related novelty items such as mugs, mousepads, buttons, T-shirts etc.
17.01.2022 To influence the reading of others is a particular privilege and one that adds another dimension to the role of editor. Great words, Mary. Looking forward to your presentation.
16.01.2022 Reminder: conference delegates can get professional photos taken on Wednesday 8 May, just before the Welcome Reception. For just $49.50 you'll receive up to three headshots, colour-corrected and free of copyright and watermarks.
14.01.2022 We’re excited about this one. Join us at the welcome reception on Wednesday 8 May, from 6.30pm for the launch.

03.01.2022 If you're an introvert with social anxiety, a conference can seem daunting. Emma Bell has blogged about her experience on our conference blog. https://iped2021.org.au/on-the-edges-of-editing-and-life/
01.01.2022 Ahead of the launch of 'Inclusive Publishing in Australia: An Introductory Guide' at our Welcome Reception this Wednesday evening, comes news from Shadow Minister for Disability Services, Senator Carol Brown, who announced last week that a Labor Government will give $2 million to the Australian Inclusive Publishing Initiative (AIPI) for two key projects: unifying the data of the print disability libraries and training the Australian book industry in inclusive publishing practice. The Institute of Professional Editors Limited is a member of the AIPI. 'Inclusive Publishing in Australia: An Introductory Guide' has been co-authored by IPEd's NSW branch president Julie Ganner, and produced by IPEd and the Australian Publishers Association as part of the AIPI. #PrintDisabilityMatters #AIPI
