21.01.2022 Some days when the sun beats down, the dust kicks up, you wake up in the middle of the night with your eyeballs feeling like sandpaper, and you wish for the rains to fall, the dust to settle into the earth and the moisture to sooth your dry eyes. For all the seasons bring us, they challenge us. For every challenge, there is something we receive. Sunlight is a life giver, winter dormancy is a recovery period. Spring is a new generation, and Autumn is what I call a reflective ...season. We get a reprieve from heat, we rest, we begin to prepare for the new cold season ahead. We look inwards and find different inspirations. We mine our internal resources a little more. There are four seasonal songs sung each year. They are unique to each other. Their dances are different. Their rhythms are contrasting. Autumn is here now. The summer is gone. There will be other summer’s, but that one is gone now.
