15.01.2022 Quota is holding their annual Charity Bike Ride again this year. We are holding the ride this year on Sunday, 28th October 2012 from Stuart Park to the Sea Cliff Bridge and return, approximately 42.4 km of beautiful scenery and a great training ride. We would welcome family, friends and fellow cyclists to ride this year too! Registration is easy, simply log into http: www.quota-leisurecoast.org.au and click on the 'Register Now' button.... The ride will have a staggered start from Stuart Park at 7.30 am. Spearmans Cycles will be providing a mobile repair van again this year with complimentary coffee and muffins for the cyclists available at Kiosk North following the ride. 02.01.2022 Stage 1 FKG Tour of Toowoomba By Benny Kersten This year I have decided to wind down my career as a professional cyclist. However, I wasn’t totally ready to stop. In these circumstances I’ve found the perfect compromise and a good home at the Racing Kangaroos Cycling Development Team.... My role is to guide some of Australia's most talented young cyclists along their way to achieving bigger and better things. This role is both on and off the road; sometimes racing with them and sometimes directing them. Today was my first day as a director at the FKG Tour of Toowoomba and..We won! Thanks to a brilliant ride by young man named Brodie Talbot, nice work Brodie. I can see why directors are a fiery strung-out bunch of people. It’s just like racing but minus being able to belt out your frustrations on the bike or being able to change the result personally. Very proud of the young Racing Kangaroos today, and especially Brodie.
