23.01.2022 The rain held off!! We had an excellent performance at the Skyspace this morning, and our lovely audience was very complimentary - thank you! Looking forward to singing at the Skyspace again in three weeks (though we really want to lock Dee Cmpbll in a cupboard so she can't disappear to Aotearoa and leave us bereft). 21.01.2022 I Progetti Chamber Choir is organising donations to the RFS at our Sunday 22 December performance, with the generous permission of the National Portrait Gallery. Please join us for some glorious music, and for such a good cause! See you tomorrow at 1.30 p.m.
21.01.2022 Well, with our second performance of "In Natali Domini" over, that's a wrap for 2019. Another wonderful concert by my lovely little choir - thank you I Progettisti! And - THANK YOU!!! so much, to everyone who generously donated to our impromptu fundraiser for the NSW RFS. Thanks to you, the firies have some more funds in their kitty for the essentials they sorely need. Donations totalled $369.55, and I have made that up to a round $400, which I have already transferred to the... NSW RFS bank account (see below - you'll need to click on the image to see it properly). Wishing you all a happy and safe Christmas and New Year. 12.01.2022 An excellent performance today at the National Library of Australia, despite very challenging conditions for singers (appalling smoke, extreme temperature, dry air - all designed to play havoc with vocal cords - plus the considerable noise from Bookplate). 07.01.2022 On this sad, ravaged New Year’s Day, I am so pleased to announce that, thanks to some more donations coming in this morning, the funds raised from our 22 December 2019 Christmas concert at the National Portrait Gallery now total $670. For an impromptu fundraiser, not advertised, this is simply marvellous. Thank you, everyone! Hoping for a better world for us all: we can make it so, with will and intent and hard work. Here is my dedication to you for a New Day, with John Dav...id’s beautiful song written in the threat of impending nuclear war (arr. Peter Knight, performed by the King’s Singers, a Christmas version of which we sang in our performances of the 20th and 22nd December).
