22.01.2022 PARENTS AS PARTNERS This week, as part of our ‘Parents as Partners’ initiative, we held a Social and Emotional Learning in the Early Years Workshop. Parents/caregivers learnt about what social and emotional learning is and why social and emotional learning is vital for children to flourish. They also heard how social skills and emotional regulation is developed at Immanuel and strategies that can be used at home to support their child. It was a really informative morning for all who attended.

17.01.2022 ESSENTIAL WORKERS ARE A BLESSING! Earlier in the year, when Australia was first impacted by COVID-19, our students created a video to thank the Health Care and Essential Workers for all of their amazing work. As South Australia faces its latest challenge, we felt it timely to share this message of thanks again.
15.01.2022 BOOK WEEK WAS BRILLIANT From dress up day to dressed up doors, Book Week was brilliant. The week started with story book dress up day and continued with daily lunch time activities in the Library, competitions and class door displays. There were surprise story tellers for every class and after recess each day the whole school participated in D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) It was a jam packed week that was all about the joy of books and reading. Special thanks to Mrs Nash and Mrs Altmann for coordinating Book Week . It was so much fun!
13.01.2022 YEAR 4 LEAD EASTER WORSHIP During Worship over the last two days, our Year 4 students creatively and confidently shared the Easter story. They helped us focus on the true meaning of Easter and reminded us of the sacrifice Jesus made for us. We are so thankful to the Year 4 students and teachers for the time and effort they put into these meaningful Easter Worships. As you commence your Easter break, we pray that you find time to relax and enjoy spending special time with loved ones celebrating the Easter season.
11.01.2022 A POWERFUL WORSHIP! As part of our Term 4 Spiritual Life focus, our students have been learning about connecting to God’s Word through scripture. Today at Worship, our students really enjoyed the message 'The Word of God is a Powerful Force.' They especially loved seeing some very famous people up on stage presenting the message. Thanks to everyone involved.

07.01.2022 AUTHOR VISITS DELIGHT STUDENTS! What a privilege is was for Immanuel Primary School to host authors Jacqueline Harvey and Andrew McDonough for a day. Andrew McDonough shared an engaging and meaningful message during Worship and led workshops teaching students about how he writes and illustrates his books for students from ELC to Year 2. Your children might have shared their pictures with you. Jacqueline Harvey spoke passionately to students from Year 3 to 6 about what motivates and inspires her to write. She also led a writing workshop for a small group of students taking them through some quick strategies to make their writing stronger and more interesting. It was amazing to meet and learn from such talented storytellers!
07.01.2022 RECEPTION EASTER PICNIC Our Reception families enjoyed an Easter get together at the Old Gum Tree Playground over the weekend. Thank you to the Reception parents for organising this community building and fun-filled event.
04.01.2022 LOOK WHO HOPPED IN FOR A VISIT TODAY! Mrs Clements was very excited to greet our friend the Easter Bunny when he hopped into Immanuel Primary for a visit today. He surprised the ELC children by hiding some special surprises in their garden for them to find. He then joined them for a picnic in the park where they listened to Easter stories and had lots of fun together. We are very thankful that the Easter Bunny made time in his very busy schedule to visit us!
