15.01.2022 It's going to be HOT HOT HOT on Sunday! Please make sure you pack some nice cool treats for your cavies. A water bottle is a must and an ice brick would be a good idea too! The hall is nice and airy, so we should be nice and cool, and of course, there will be treats for us available at the canteen! See you at the first show for 2014!

03.01.2022 PLEASE READ....VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! It is very hot here in Ipswich and surrounding areas today! I hope that you have all considered how your cavies are coping in the heat. ***You need to make sure that they have access to clean COOL water. Please check their water, as if you have outdoor cages, your water bottles could be in the sun and therefore, the water would be warm and your cavies will not drink the water.... ***If your cages are on the ground, please ensure you have a nice big tile in the cage somewhere for your cavy to get up off the ground. Even in the shade, the heat from the ground can kill your precious pets. ***Whether your cavies are indoors or outdoors, give them a nice frozen water bottle to lie beside or on. Most love it! ***Offer some nice cold treats, like watermelon, or some nice grass. If you have some fruit for them, why not pop it in the freezer and offer as a treat on these hot days! ***Lastly, if YOU are hot, your cavies are hot! Please cool them down somehow!!!!! The perfect temperature for your cavies is 24 degrees, if yours are lucky like mine, have them in a nice air conditioned room, but if you can't, and you only have one or two, why not put them in the bath tub (no water) with a towell on the bottom so they don't slip over - it would be nice and cool in there for them!
