16.01.2022 Saw Stop ! This saw has a feature that if the blade is touched by hand ! a cartridge explosion is triggered and stops the blade instantly as show in the pic. Although not reusable it has saved many fingers. New blades and cartridges are available at a cost of approx $200 So a great safety device for our shed members.

05.01.2022 Building a UTE ! Ipswich Men’s Shed is partnering with the Ipswich City Library and Bunning’s Bundamba to make a Christmas Ute. The Ute will be located at the Library for Children to sit in and have Santa’s presents in the back. Keep an eye out as we progress with this Community project! Shed Secretary Brian has started the build and needs cooperation from members and any community group that could add to the end result. This is a miniature model, but the end result will be about 2mtrs x 1.5mtrs in size.
