25.01.2022 The Ipswich 4WD club celebrates the end of another great year with our final social event being our Christmas party. We will soon find out which members have been naughty or nice when Santa arrives tomorrow. A big thank you to all sponsors, public followers and members who have liked and followed our page, and supported us throughout the year, our 40th year as a club. From all of us at the Ipswich 4WD Club drive safe, keep safe and have a very Merry Christmas ... If you would like to consider a membership and join our adventures in 2020 please don’t hesitate to contact us at: [email protected]

25.01.2022 The Ipswich 4WD Club spent some time out at Goos family farm this weekend. It was great to see some of the wet stuff which we don’t often have the opportunity to drive in. Importantly it’s always an aim to support local. We even had a glimpse of ol mate the Koala sitting in a near by tree. Did you know that....... The Ipswich 4WD maintains a Wet Weather Policy for the driving in State and National parks. This is to ensure as a club we protect the environment, drivers and vehi...cles from causing track and vegetation damage. As a club we maintain this responsibility so that these park lands and forests remain open and accessible for all of us and for years to come. Have a 4WD drive and want to join in on the fun? Email us at -> [email protected]

25.01.2022 Did you know that the Ipswich 4WD Club was founded in 1979? That’s a long time ago, forty years ago in fact! Driving hasn’t been the only passion through this time. We have some of the best sausage chefs who have mastered the craft over this time and have been strategically scheduled throughout the day on Saturday 2nd for the West Ipswich Bunnings BBQ fundraiser. Every Dollar $$$$ raised will be donated to the Drought Angels to assist in supporting some of our hardest hit f...arming families who need it most. Come down, buy a snag and talk to us about how you could benefit from joining an Association member 4WD club and all while doing so, assist in raising much needed funds for a great cause. Looking forward to seeing you there. [email protected] #river949 #ipswich4wdclub #droughtangels #fundraiser #gourmetsausagechef #Bunnings

24.01.2022 For every one great deed our associated 4WD clubs and general public do for the community and environment here in Queensland, there is always the actions of a selfish individual which places our 4WD community under the spotlight and risks access for us all.

23.01.2022 How do you celebrate Halloween? Halloween for the Ipswich 4WD club is one of our social calendar highlights of the year. A camping weekend at our local property has children and adults alike dress up for the occasion to set the mood. Camp oven cookouts when fire bans are not in place, a night drive through some challenging tracks to get to a hill top position to over look Brisbane and surrounds city lights. A very relaxed weekend away with a lot of laughs, good food and great... company If this sounds like your type of weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, join us by making contact with us @ [email protected]

22.01.2022 How lucky is this group.

22.01.2022 A good experiment !

21.01.2022 It was with great pleasure the Ipswich 4WD Club can announce a donation of $2,000.00 will be forwarded to the Drought Angels to go toward Children’s lunch snack packs and schooling accessories. With a combination of funds raised by holding a fund raiser BBQ at West Ipswich Bunnings last weekend, some generous contributions from the public and Members of the Ipswich 4WD Club on the day, our goal was reached. A small drop in the ocean for what is needed to support our farming c...ommunity, though we are proud to have been able to contribute to a such a worth while cause. A big thank you to all of the Ipswich 4WD Club members who gave up there free time and contributed to making the day enjoyable and a great success!!!

21.01.2022 We hope not only members, but all of the wider community are doing well, and trying to make the most of the temporary restrictions? It’s been hard not to get out and away doing what we do well but hopefully there is some light at the end of the tunnel and sooner rather than later. It’s times like these when stress and isolation begin to grind at the strongest of people. It’s important to keep talking to friends and family. ... The Ipswich 4WD club has been doing this through keeping in touch with members, conducting video conference calls in replacement of meetings, and talking amongst ourselves on our private page. This has certainly helped a lot of us. If you are struggling to cope under the current conditions and need to speak with someone, don’t suffer in silence and please make use of a great organisation called Beyond Blue (no affiliation). 1300 22 4636.

21.01.2022 Battery World West Ipswich has been a long term supporter of the Ipswich 4WD club. We were fortunate enough to be invited to an exclusive suppliers night where Battery World had representatives from most major suppliers to keep us informed of current technology in solar systems for 4WD/camping, 4WD batteries and maintenance tips. And just when you think you know a lot about a certain field of technology, well.... I think we all learned a thing or three..... Thank you Ruthie for your continued support!!

20.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them.

20.01.2022 The Ipswich 4WD Club was out and about again on the weekend. This time on a social trip out to Summerland Camels in Harrisville for the morning. No locked hubs required for this trip. An interesting and informative tour by our well informed guide Sarah, and then back to the Cafe for some camel product tasters. A farm of just under 1,000 camels and a very cool story on how and why they started.... no spoilers from me.... It’s good to get out and support local business on such a nice day! If you would like to know more about us. Please do not be shy in sending through an email to > [email protected]

20.01.2022 Which came first? The chicken or the egg? Nissan or Toyota. It doesn’t matter. The ipswich 4WD club welcomes all brands of vehicle as long as they pass the driver awareness unit (DAU) safety inspection which includes having rated towing points fitted to the front and rear. Safety is the single most important aspect of our club trips for both members and vehicles. If you are looking to get out and about in 2020 and would like to join a club with like minded people, then email... your interest through to :-> [email protected]

19.01.2022 A small team Headed up to the Blackbutt area on Sunday to review some tracks for an up and coming trip. It was good to see some green coming back with a vengeance. A long day had by those attending, but this trip was about the Journey and the pies not the destination. If your ever in the area, stop at the Blackbutt bakery and try the Pig Dog Pie, it is sensational!!!... Want to join us on our next adventure...... send through your interest to :-> [email protected]

12.01.2022 For the wider community who are not aware, the Bundaberg 4WD club and Ipswich 4WD club have been affiliated for many years. Both of our clubs and importantly the majority of all the Queensland 4WD Association clubs operate with their own constitution and bylaws covering codes of conduct around wet weather driving, behaviour and endorsement of the Tread Lightly Philosophies. The Bundaberg and Ipswich 4WD club have always worked closely with authorities, National Parks and coun...cils across the region to ensure our respective clubs maintain access to some of the best country side in Australia to Drive on club outings. If you would like to know more about our club, and what we stand for, email us at:- [email protected] https://www.abc.net.au//2020-08-05/4wd-trespassin/12526798

10.01.2022 It was with great pleasure that the Ipswich 4WD club was presented with a very large cheque for our fund raising efforts toward supporting the Drought Angels in assisting our farmers. A big thank you to Sarah and team from the Bendigo Bank at Brassall to take the time out of their day for a few selfies.

06.01.2022 A 15 year old girl has been killed North of Charters Towers. She was hit in the chest with a broken snatch strap while a ute was pulling out a bogged vehicle. 06.01.2022 OPERATION LIFT Queensland (and some interstate) 4WD owners will remember approximately 12 months ago when Queensland Police Service undertook Operation Lift, which was a police training activity to target modified, high-lift 4WDs, and was intended to defect vehicles which were well outside the limits of Transport and Main Road's allowable modification standards. Many 4WD owners ended up with vehicle defect notices, including minor modified vehicles which were equipped with El...Continue reading

03.01.2022 The Ipswich 4WD Club was out and about again today full of community spirit. Participating in the Australia Day Clean up event, we focused our morning along the old Grandchester road track out at Rosewood. Disappointingly a lot of dumped rubbish along the track ranging from household rubbish to many used tyres. If you bring it in, take it out. This is one of our code of ethics which we can all adopt, and this simple gesture will assist places like this to remain open to the g...eneral public. Looking for a different lifestyle and weekends of fun. Email your interest through to us at > [email protected]

03.01.2022 A big thank you to all who attended our BBQ today at West Ipswich Bunnings. It was a great success with all funds raised being given to the Drought Angels. We will be specifically asking that these funds be put toward children’s lunch packs and books for school in some of the hardest hit communities. Drought isn’t just about a lack of water for our farming communities. Water is life and is essential for every element of sustaining livestock, produce, income and family. This i...s a devastating time not just financially but also emotionally for those most affected. If you were unable to get down to Bunnings to support us today and would like to contribute to a non profit organisation who is making a real difference within these communities, Please visit the drought angels website and make a direct donation. The link is provided below. https://www.droughtangels.org.au/
