06.01.2022 URGENT COVID-19 UPDATE The club has been advised that a student from an Ipswich school has tested positive to COVID-19. As we have a fair few players attending this school, the Executive Team have decided to cancel training for Wednesday 9/9/2020 and Thursday 10/9/2020. This is just a precaution! To keep our community and members safe until we know more in the coming days. All games this weekend will continue as planned until otherwise advised. ... Please remember if you are showing any cold and flu like symptoms to go get tested and self isolate until you receive your results.

03.01.2022 Jason John Caneris 07 Sep 1967 - 03 Jan 2021 It is with our deepest sympathies we advise the passing of Jason Caneris Jason was the coach of the same team from U12s right up until they reached the women’s squad with all successful seasons. Jason put a lot of heart into his coaching and cared for everyone he met at the Bulls... He also played socially in our city league teams where he made many lifelong friends while cheishing alot of good memories. The Funeral will be held tomorrow the 8th January 2021 at 3:30pm. Due to COVID Restrictions on attendance. The Funeral will also be lived stream using the following link. https://www.centenarymemorialgardens.com.au/tribute-centre If you would like to attend the funeral virutally, please contact us to request the pin. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time

03.01.2022 9 September 2020 Dear members, The Club was notified a student at St Edmund’s College Ipswich has a confirmed case of COVID-19. This case was confirmed by Queensland Health on 8 September 2020. As a result of this confirmed case, the College closed immediately to allow Queensland Health to carry out contact tracing and to allow for special cleaning of facilities.... The student is not a player or related to any member of Club. There are players at the Club that attended the College. We are not the only Club in Ipswich that have players that attend the College and it is up to the individual clubs to choose how they manage the situation. Rather than ask those players, siblings that attend the College not attended the Executive Committee decided to cancel two days of training as an extreme precaution. All matches this weekend will proceed as scheduled unless notified by Queensland Health or Football Brisbane. I personally believe that Ipswich City Bulls FC COVID Safe Plan goes above and beyond majority of other sporting clubs and facilities. This decision was made because as much as we all live and breathe Football a person’s health always comes first. Some people may think the decision to stop training Wednesday and Thursday might be extreme but the health and safety of our members always comes first and there is no point potentially risking people’s health no matter how unlikely that maybe. Stay safe, Club President
