23.01.2022 COVID UPDATE - SATURDAY 22 AUGUST Further to the announcement this morning of new positive tests in Queensland, the Government has confirmed that community ...sport can continue. However, it is paramount that all COVID safe protocols are fully adhered to. Social distancing and the recording of attendees is paramount. Please do not take risks or be complacent. 16.01.2022 Exciting Announcement Thanks to the AFL players association, the AFL and AFL Queensland we have been given 2 grand final tickets that we will raffle to 1 lucky winner to raise much needed funds for our club this year. Prize value over $800. Only 100 tickets/numbers available in the draw for your chance to be part of AFL history in our own back yard! ... 14.01.2022 Hello all Catter families, the Ipswich Cats AFC Executive have been in touch with AFLQ this morning regarding the latest covid situation in SEQ. We will continue to follow the lead of AFLQ as they are taking there directives from the QLD government who are making there decisions on the advice of the state's chief medical officer. Community sport can continue and we can continue as we have and follow the AFL covid safe plan. It is essential we follow this plan to the letter.... We fully understand you as players or parent's may decide not to play, we just ask you advise your coach or manager as soon as you make that decision for game planning. 06.01.2022 Have ever been interested in playing Australian Rules Football, making friends and staying fit all at the same time? Ipswich Cats Australian Football Club is the place for you! At the Cats we strive on being a community and family based club whilst welcoming everybody who comes through our doors. We have a senior men's team, SEQ AFL Juniors along with Auskick football.... 05.01.2022 Weekend Schedule This weekend begins with a Friday night block buster, 7pm at Limestone park as our fantastic U12's take on Jimboomba in there 2nd last outing. These guys played there best game of the season last week, really taking it up to the top placed Parkridge who for the past 2 years have averaged wins by more than 100pts over us, eventually going down by 29pts with Parkridge kicking 3 goals late in the last! Milestone games this week for 2 young Catter superstar...s! 50 games for Corey Grieves and Cameron O'Loughlin. On Saturday morning at 9am we are back at Limestone park and see our youngest Cats the sensational U8's show the Eagles how footys really played in there last game of the season. Also on Saturday morning, but at 10.15am we head to Greater Springfield Central Sports Complex to watch the awesomely talented U10's take on the Storm in another milestone game with Jed Newnham racking up 50 courageous Catter games! Congratulations to our 3 young catters on achieving your 50 games and we look forward to watching you play many, many more for us. If your able to, please get on down and support our young catters as they finish off there fantastic seasons.

01.01.2022 Your attention please Last Friday we handed over the club house, canteen and amenities block/change rooms at Ivor Marsden back to Ipswich cricket. So now we are back to the "bunker" and council toilets. Big thank you to Marty, Rena, Bailey, Kevvy, Debbie, Jarod, Clare, Stevo and Nicolle for getting us out of the canteen after Fridays game so cricket could move in and start use on Saturday morning.... We can continue training on a Wednesday as normal but must ensure we stay off the cricket wicket area that is now being preped. U8.5's (1 more home game) and U10.5s (2 more home games) home games on Saturdays will continue as planned at Ivor Marsden as we don't use the wicket area for games. The last 2 U12.5 games have been moved to Limestone park due to requiring the whole field. Cricket agreed to prep Limestones wicket later by rescheduling games to Ivor Marsden which then enabling both us and the Eagles teams to complete our seasons home games in Ipswich.
