25.01.2022 The choice at this election is clear. Deb Frecklington’s plan is cuts. Queensland’s economic recovery plan is underway.... Now’s not the time for a detour.

25.01.2022 Walk through of our display! Come check it out. Be sure to share so everyone can enjoy. ...

24.01.2022 Today, the Palaszczuk Government announced we would hire over 9000 front-line health workers. These jobs will be across Queensland from our smallest Hospitals in rural and regional Queensland to our biggest Hospitals. I’m proud to be backing Queensland jobs.

23.01.2022 Only Annastacia Palaszczuk and Labor have an economic recovery plan for Queensland. And it's already being rolled out right across our state. At the heart of th...is plan is local jobs. COVID-19 has had a severe impact on people and economies throughout the world, but because of our strong Health response here in Queensland, we can now focus on securing our economic future. Deb Frecklington and the LNP are a risk to this plan and it's critical that we stay on the right track. Together, we can get through this. Together, we can ensure Queensland emerges from this Pandemic even stronger than before.

21.01.2022 Just got this pic from Celia, Taylor and Luke who are now on their way home from San Francisco along with the other stranded Aussies. It shouldn’t have taken a ...call from me to get them on a plane, but if that’s what it takes, I’ll make 37,000 more. The Australian Government has a responsibility to its citizens. Scott Morrison promised to bring stranded Australians home by Christmas. He must keep his promise.

20.01.2022 Want to be a secret santa for a local senior? My office is currently accepting donations for STAR Community Services, who are hosting an appeal for Christma...s gifts for elderly residents in our community. This year has been hard on our seniors from lockdowns to not being able to see friends and family. Making a donation is a great way to give back to the people in our community who have had a rough year. Donation suggestions include socks, coffee, vouchers, pamper packs, hand cream, fruit cake, tea cups, crockery, household goods and non-perishable food items. If you want to make a donation, you can do so at my office until 15 December.

19.01.2022 For Deb Frecklington to deliver on her election promises, she’ll need to find at least $3.6 billion in cuts. That’s 30,000 public servants - including 16,000 health workers.

18.01.2022 I guess this makes it official right?

14.01.2022 In the year 2020, the Lord came unto Noah, who was now living in Australia and said: "Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the... end of all flesh before me. Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few good humans." He gave Noah the blueprints, saying: "You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights." Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard - but no Ark. Noah!," He roared, "I'm about to start the rain! Where is the Ark?" "Forgive me, Lord," begged Noah, "but things have changed." "I needed a Building Permit." "I've been arguing with the Boat Inspector about the need for a sprinkler system." "My neighbours claim that I've violated the Neighbourhood Bye-Laws by building the Ark in my back garden and exceeding the height limitations. We had to go to the Local Planning Committee for a decision." "Then the Local Council and the Electricity Company demanded a shed load of money for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark's move to the sea. I told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear nothing of it." "Getting the wood was another problem. There's a ban on cutting local trees in order to save the Greater Spotted Barn Owl." "I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls - but no go!" "When I started gathering the animals the RSPCA took me to court. They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They argued the accommodations were too restrictive, and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space." "Then the Australian Environmental Agency ruled that I couldn't build the Ark until they'd conducted an environmental impact study on your proposed flood." "I'm still trying to resolve a complaint with the Human Rights Commission on how many minorities I'm supposed to hire for my building gang." "Immigration are checking the Visa status of most of the people who want to work." "The trades unions say I can't use my sons. They insist I have to hire only Union workers with Ark-building experience." "To make matters worse, the Inland Revenue seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species." "So, forgive me, Lord, but it will take at least 10 years for me to finish this Ark." "Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine, and a rainbow stretched across the sky." Noah looked up in wonder and asked, "You mean you're not going to destroy the world?" "No," said the Lord. " The Government beat me to it."

14.01.2022 We know it’s a challenge to get together right now for World AIDS Day. But we hope, through this Virtual Red Ribbon Wall, you can get involved and support ACON’...s Red Ribbon Appeal. Pin a Virtual Red Ribbon to remember a loved one, send a message of solidarity, or show your support for people living with HIV. 100% of donations will go towards the ACON Red Ribbon Appeal, supporting ACON’s work in HIV prevention, education, advocacy, support and care. www.virtualredribbon.org.au www.redribbonappeal.org.au

13.01.2022 This isn’t about a relationship, this is about corruption at the top of a rotten Government.

13.01.2022 14,000 Queenslanders were sacked last time Campbell Newman and Deb Frecklington were in power. We can’t afford to risk that again now.

13.01.2022 National Road Safety Week starts today and runs to 22 November. Together lets lead the way in Queensland, and drive so others survive. Each year, about 1200 ...people are killed in crashes on Australian roads, and another 44,000 are seriously injured. We’re delivering a record $25B for better roads and transport, and we can all do our part by remembering to drive safely and avoid the fatal five. Pledge your support and find out more: www.roadsafetyweek.com.au

11.01.2022 The 57th Queensland Parliament is just about to resume sitting - for Budget Week.

10.01.2022 On behalf of our families, we wish a happy Diwali to Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists, and everyone celebrating the festival of lights across the United States, ...India, and the world. Diwali is ultimately a reminder of the light that’s within us all to hope and dream, and to overcome our differences and keep the faith in each other. That’s the light we see shining on this day and that will guide us through the darkness with knowledge, science, truth, unity, and compassion. We look forward to celebrating Diwali at the White House next year in person, together with you, and in a nation healed and united.

07.01.2022 Green Tree Frogs are LOVING the recent rain we've seen around Queensland Tyson found at least 10 of them enjoying one big cuddle together on the screen of his... pump tank after a downpour. "We have had some beautiful rain that has brought out the frogs from the downpipes," Tyson said. "They look so wonderful as they all cuddle together. There are still much bigger ones hiding in the gutters." : Tyson Kody in Bondoola
