24.01.2022 Yesterday our EEC held its second Edols Cup! The Pre-Prep children participated in the following events: The Bock Sprint... The Hertrick and Cartwright hurdle The Van and T steeple race The Pre-Prep children then chose a Kindy friend to participate with in the Edols Cup! The winner of this cup is not the fastest, it is the class that shows the most sportsmanship, kindness and team work. This year it was very close with everyone displaying exceptional sportsmanship throughout the event. We were so proud of all of the children’s efforts throughout the morning and how they supported one another. At the end of the day a Kindy friend fell over and their Pre-Prep friend displayed care and compassion by helping them to their feet and encouraging them to finish the race. Therefore the winner of the Edols Cup this year is Pre-Prep A! We would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Henderson for planning this event and for being a constant supporter of sport at the EEC.

23.01.2022 Our Early Education Centre follows a Reggio Emilia approach to education which focuses on self-directed and inquiry based learning. At the core of this philosophy is an assumption that children form their own personality during the early years of development and that they are endowed with "a hundred languages", through which they can express their ideas. The aim of the Reggio Emilia approach is to teach children how to use these symbolic languages such as painting, sculpting... and drama in everyday life. Over the coming weeks we will be sharing a video from each EEC class documenting their 100 Languages of Children Inquiry and we invite you to follow along on this journey with us.

23.01.2022 On Friday our EEC held a colour run! Our boys and girls had such a wonderful time making their way through the obstacle course and getting covered in colour. 13.01.2022 Each year The Educator Australia publishes an annual Hot List of 75 education professionals, from Kindergarten to Year 12, who demonstrate excellence in linking theory and practice and who design and implement innovations providing students with high-quality educational experiences. This year, Mrs Kirsten Edols, our Early Education Centre Director has been named on the Hot List for 2020! This is an exceptional achievement, made even more special because of the small number o...f early learning educators that are recognised on this prestigious list. Mrs Edols shares the recognition with her exceptional team at the EEC, acknowledging the importance of working together to create a nurturing and inclusive space for children. My biggest passion in my role is to create a warm and friendly environment for all; children, educators, families and our whole community. The honour that families choose to place their precious gift in our hands is not taken lightly and it is a privilege to develop strong relationships with these families when they enter our EEC family, said Mrs Edols. We are so proud of Mrs Edols being acknowledged in this esteemed list of educators. https://www.theeducatoronline.com//kirsten-edols-ip/272705
