Eddie Habben will talk about researching and publishing the biographies of the men and women of Ipswich and surrounds who sacrificed their lives in World War II. His book, ‘Ipswich and District Roll of Honour W.W.2’, brings together years of research which included reading every edition of The Queensland Times from September 1939 until the latter end of 1...946. Hear how he engaged with families who shared photos, memorabilia and records and how he travelled overseas on a pilgrimage to graves in Singapore and Thailand to honour them with crosses made by Ipswich Men’s Shed.
