As to the reported Covid case at St Edmunds College yesterday, Queensland government is in the act of Covid tracing. While physical activity remains an important part of overall health we believe this is in the best interest of our community. We are monitoring the situation and will assess any change in the government’s position as it comes to hand. We are aware of the impact this may have on future events and competitions across the country. Touch football Australia in partnership with Queensl...and touch football will gather more information and a clear understanding of this most recent development before providing a whole of sport position in the coming days. Bearing this in mind, Ipswich touch Association request that any people with flu like symptoms refrain from attending training and games and take all necessary precautions until clearance is given. 05.01.2022 Over the past number of days a cluster has formed out of the youth detention centre at Wacol. Many of you would know that and Ipswich official David Martin works as a teacher within that centre. We are happy to report that Dave Martin has been tested and cleared as negative. Government will allow community sport to proceed and Ipswich Touch will continue with games this week Under our strict Covid safe plan. We request all participants and spectators to follow that safety plan. Please follow the usual government guidelines. If you are feeling unwell please do not attend.

04.01.2022 And that's a wrap on our rep touch for 2020. We had four teams attend Qld State Cup with both of our ladies teams making the grand final, which is a pretty good achievement for our small affiliate. We even had Ash Taylor come on board to assist with our Open Women's Team. I'm sure there's quite a few tired, sore bodies but we hope everyone enjoyed the experience. Thank you to our coaches, managers, volunteers, referees and supporters for all of their help.
