02.01.2022 Photos of the National Champion Forest Red Gum (Eucalyptus tereticornis) taken last week at Lowood near Ipswich Queensland on the bank of the Brisbane River. Th...e tree was measured and registered on the National Register of Big Trees in 2012, 45 metres tall, 8.3 metres circumference and estimated at 500 years old. There may well be bigger Blue Gums (Local common name) out there but presently it is the champion. Geoff Holloway See more
