15.01.2022 On 19 September every year, we come together to commemorate the lives of miners lost in Queensland mines. This day marks the anniversary of the states worst mining disaster where, in 1921, 75 miners lost their lives in a coal mine at Mount Mulligan. COVID-19 will not stop us from honouring those who have been lost. In 2020, Miners Memorial Day Service will be professionally staged and streamed online so everyone, no matter where you are, can participate in this important eve...nt - without any public health risk. Be a part of this historical event when miners family, friends and colleagues can unite and remember as a community online.
