11.01.2022 After our successful return to the court, the WBA is pleased to be able to advise on further easing of restrictions by the State Government and updated guidelin...es from Basketball Victoria. WBA Domestic competition updated restrictions: Spectator limits With the Government and Basketball Victoria putting a 1 person to 4sq metre rule in place, there are no longer any limits on how many spectators can watch each game. Entering the stadium The QR code sign in entry requirements remain in place and WLS will continue to manage the flow of entry during busy times. Leaving the stadium Our Saturday domestic competitions will continue to exit the stadium through Courts 1 & 3 (not the main entry) and be asked to leave as soon as games finish. Where parents/siblings have back-to-back games they will be allowed to stay in the stadium. All other competition days will enter and leave through the main entry point without any restrictions on time. This is due to both the additional numbers of spectators we see on Saturdays and the fact we use all courts within the stadium on Saturday. Social Distancing Social distancing must continue to be observed at all times. Masks Masks are now optional within the stadium but is recommended, particularly where social distancing cannot be maintained. BSOs The Bio Security Officers are no longer in place during competitions. Sanitising Hand Sanitiser and disinfectant wipes will still be available and used on all score benches before and after all games. WLS continue to clean the venue throughout all sessions. You can read the full Basketball Victoria update here: https://basketballvictoria.com.au//return-to-sport-update/ We thank you for all of your continued support throughout our return and have been thrilled with the way our community has abided by the restrictions we've had in place!
