08.01.2022 The Zen master Thich Nhat Hann said that "the greatest gift you can give another is your attention." I certainly agree with this and can witness its deep truth with my children, my clients and with my friends. I feel we can apply the same wisdom with ourselves - the greatest gift we can give ourselves is our loving, kind, compassionate and non-judgmental attention.... Checking with ourselves, truly knowing what thoughts do we have? How are we feeling? What our body is trying to communicate with us. Noticing if our thinking, emotional and behavioural patterns serve us. Practicing the art of listening, of being attentive. As the great Sufi poet Rumi was asking "Do you pay regular visits to yourself?"
