25.01.2022 My tip for anyone who might want to start an R U OK? conversation is to just do it. Take a deep breath and ask the question. You don’t need to have all the ans...wers. Just letting that person know that you care and that they are worthy of being cared about is sometimes enough. Have the Lifeline and Mental Health Line numbers stored in your phone or wallet, in case you feel it’s out of your depth, but most importantly just listen and be there for that person. R U OK? 25.01.2022 WHY IS THERE A MOON? ‘When your child asks ‘Why is there a moon?’ Don’t reply with a scientific answer. Ask him. ‘What do you think?’ He will understand that... you are telling him, ‘You have your own mind and your own interpretation and your ideas are important to me.’ Then you and he can look for the answers, sharing the wonder, curiosity, pain - everything. It is not the answers that are important, it is the process - that you and he search together. ~ Carla Rinaldi I have always adored this quote. We can be so keen to fill our kids with the facts that we forget the beauty is in allowing them to discover their own answers. Life and learning is not about constant smooth sailing. 15.01.2022 Learning from home hasn't been easy for anyone. Entertaining, explaining, keeping kids focused, and juggling work all at the same time. Kids have plenty of ri...ch learning experiences at home - and Victorian parents have gone above and beyond all year. But we also know how vital kinder experiences are for their learning. So we're making things a bit easier. Free kinder will be extended for Term 4, with sessional kinders able to offer a free 15 hour program to all families. That means regional families can continue free kinder for the rest of the year - and when kinder returns for Melbourne for Term 4, there'll be one less expense to worry about. And because the usual school visits haven't happen this year, we'll fund extra work hours for teachers so they can visit kinders, meet future students, and help them feel a little more comfortable before they move up to prep. We're also helping about 5,000 vulnerable Victorian kids get ready for school, with an extra five hours of kinder learning free. This year's been tough for everyone including our kids. But we're doing everything we can do make the transition as smooth as possible. And we'll make sure that every Victorian child gets the world-class education they deserve.

Please note registrations are checked at 7am each day. If you register while your child is at the Kinder we will be taking photos and will not see your booking come through, so please register before the day your child attends....
