24.01.2022 Irlen Awareness week.19th -23rd October. In Townsville, I started on Sunday at the market. I was able to offer a free Irlen check. Enough for people to know if they were one of the 12% in our population with Irlen Syndrome. There were people who never heard of Irlen Syndrome and then there were others who had seen people wearing tinted glasses, even talked to them and wondered about themselves.... During this special International week with the goal of raising awareness, I want people to know about Irlen Syndrome and be able to make an informed choice. Would Irlen tinted filters be beneficial for them or their children?

18.01.2022 A MUST READ TESTIMONIAL 'Just a little feedback I thought you might like to hear' from a grateful mother. I collected my son's Irlen glasses and took them straight to him at school... (I knew he was having a test that morning) When he went back to class he went with his usual mindset of fear and he reckons he looked down and he read for the FIRST TIME saying "This must be what it feels like to be normal"... He could not hold back the tears of joy and confusion, "Mum, it was so easy" So the long and short of it, tears all round here!!! Thank you for everything you do we are so grateful. My son ( grade 11) had been having a really bad couple of weeks and has been so upset at the effort he's been putting in with little return. His glasses have given him a new lease of life. I feel like a neglectful mother for him having lost so many years believing him when he said he didn't need glasses so as not to put me in financial strain. What he didn't realize I'd have given my soul to have moved those mountains for him. We can't get back the last few years we can only hope for a brighter future. Thanks again"

09.01.2022 I will have my Irlen brochures with me tomorrow at the Cotters market if any one would like to come passed for a chat. I want to share what the mother of a recent client shared when she brought her daughter in for me to check the tint colour of her lenses. Her daughter has been wearing Irlen lenses for four years and her parents are delighted with the improvement in her school grades. The mother went on to say that the first noticeable improvement had been in her daughter's behaviour. She went from a difficult demanding child to a happy little girl who was a delight to have around. Interestingly, she added that even now if her daughter does not wear her glasses for four or five hours they will know from the deterioration in her behaviour. Even the daughter said she can feel it happening and knows she must put on her glasses.

08.01.2022 Irlen Awareness week. AIRLIE BEACH and BOWEN Is Irlen something significant for you or your child? Are you one of the 12% in our population?... I will be offering FREE checks for Irlen Syndrome at the Lions market, Airlie Beach tomorrow morning (Saturday) and Sunday in Bowen. Find out if it is worth while travelling to Townsville for assistance. Reduce the cost or your appointment in Townsville. Have your questions answered. Look for my banner at the Green Tale publishing stall selling children's books.

03.01.2022 I am currently taking bookings from clients who would like their own or their childrens eyes checked so they are ready to start the new school year. This sensitivity to light causes difficulties with reading, comprehension, handwriting, copying, concentrating and headaches.
