12.01.2022 ***STORE UPDATE*** Wow I don’t even know where to start. It’s been about a year since I started Iron Ivy and it’s grown into something more inspiring and rewarding than I ever could have imagined. A simple round hanger for my heart leaf philodendron turned into a cute cloud for my String of Pearls and before I knew it I was joyously spending all of my time recreating my designs for you all to display with your lovely plants in your homes. ___________________________...__________________ I absolutely love every part of it. From being inspired by a new plant I’ve come across, finding a solution to displaying a plant in a way that makes it thrive, and creating unique, long lasting beautiful things. I love working with metal, I’ve gotten so used to the different types of metal I use and the way I work with it it’s become almost second nature. But it is HARD WORK. Metal isn’t the easiest material to manipulate, and creating perfect shapes by hand can become tiresome and frustrating at times. But it’s all worth it when I’ve finished painting a piece and see a plant looking stunning in it and hear your kind words about how much you love it. However rewarding hard work is, it can take its toll. I’m at a point now where I my body hurts, I’ve suffered some significant injuries from over working myself because I love doing what I do. But I’ve realised it’s important to invest some time into developing new ways of making my designs that are less taxing on my body whilst allowing me to grow as a designer. I have so many new ideas and designs but such little time to work on them, these changes will allow me to bring you so much more Iron Ivy stuff! _____________________________________________ So for a few weeks, beginning Tuesday May 5th (8:00am EST) I will be offering a limited range of Iron Ivy products. But don’t worry! All designs will be back with the relaunch, although with a few changes. In the mean time please stick around, I’ll be doing some exciting things on here!
