19.01.2022 Hi everyone, The IRONMAN Oceania team would like to once again send their support to everyone impacted by the recent flooding in Port Macquarie and the surrounding region. The last 12 months have been very tough on the communities there, and they continue to show amazing strength and resilience. Over the past week or so we have received a number of enquiries about the state of the course and status of the event. We wanted to let you know that our team is on the ground this we...ek working closely with local stakeholders to assess the impacts of the recent flooding. Thanks for your patience and understanding, please keep up with your training and preparation, and we'll be in touch with any updates as soon as we get them. The IRONMAN Australia Team

17.01.2022 The thoughts of everyone in the IRONMAN Australia team are with those currently affected by the flooding in and around Port Macquarie and Camden Haven. These communities have shown incredible strength and resilience time and time again in recent years, and we have no doubt that their response this time will be no different. Your IRONMAN family is there for you and ready to support in any way that we can. BBC News

06.01.2022 With a little less than 6 weeks to go until the 35th anniversary of the National Storage IRONMAN Australia and IRONMAN 70.3 Port Macquarie, we are so excited to get back to Port Macquarie, but still find ourselves operating in a continually changing and challenging COVID-19 restricted environment. We are navigating this as best we can but need to provide you with a few important event updates in relation to this. As you may be aware, the New South Wales Government have not y...et changed the current Public Health Order limiting community sporting activities to 3,000 attendees. We want to reassure you that our team, with the support of our key stakeholders, are doing everything we can to ensure the event can take place on 2 May 2021 within these restrictions. We are currently finalising our Event Plan for consideration by NSW Health. Please understand that we are as eager to get to Port Macquarie as you are and doing all we can to ensure we meet NSW Health’s criteria. As part of our Event Plan to ensure we meet NSW Government COVID-19 Safe guidelines, we have made a number of changes to the event that have been shared to all athletes via email this afternoon. More details about our COVID Safe Event Plan will be shared with you once we receive feedback from NSW Health. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you in 6 weeks’ time!
