07.01.2022 COACH E's COMP WRAP UP Having 30 lifters in a single comp is TOUGH. Not being able to coach them on the day is TOUGHER. And not being able to be out the back when things don't quite go to plan, or to celebrate if they do, is just the WORST! BUT...having my lifters fully prepared and trusting they'll follow the plan and know exactly what needs to be done, is AWESOME! Running these comps is a lot of hard work and sacrifice, but seeing everyone enjoy it and getting... great feedback from lifters, volunteers and spectators alike is the BEST feeling in the world! First and foremost though, our VOLUNTEERS are the real MVP'S here. They are the reason we are able to run some of the best comps in Australia. We are continually blown away by what you are all prepared to do for the gym, our community and this sport. Jacks and I couldn't be more grateful! I wish I could list every lifters achievements on the day without it turning into a novel, but I can't. There are a few key things I'd like to say though. As a coach I am proud of each and every one of you for a number of reasons... Lifting execution was spot on! There was hardly a red light given to any ISPP lifters, outside of not being able to lift the weight, and that is just the best compliment for me. Everyone's attitude and conduct, regardless of the result, was respectful and professional and sets a great example for all lifters out there. I could not ask for a better group of lifters to represent ISPP. The support and comradery in our team is, in my opinion, unrivalled. You guys genuinely have each other's backs and it makes not being by your side a little easier when you are all there for each other. There is so much more that could be said, but I promised not to turn this into a novel. Thanks for reading this far...
