22.01.2022 Andrew Brown joined the IRS International team as OHS/WHS Manager near on 12 months ago. Historically we had used third party assistance for OHS guidance whilst seeing many Team Managers attempt to balance OHS with other roles! In 2019, with rapid expansion of our business and overall employee numbers it made sense to now have a dedicated OHS Team. The appointment of Andrew has seen some great proactive changes so far as we try to instil a safety culture through all IRSI team members and ensure everyone is kept safe whilst at work. Keep up the great work Browny, it’s been a pleasure having you on board!

Experienced team member Travis Fernando has relocated to the Apple Isle after spending time with IRS in Melbourne and Adelaide previously and will be based in Hobart. 19.01.2022 Face coverings have been made mandatory in the State of Victoria whilst in public from tomorrow onwards. This includes IRS HO and any other workplace. We ask all employees to do their bit and follow accordingly. Face coverings, surgical masks and additional PPE including gloves and sanitiser have been made readily available throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to all IRS staff.... All staff in Victoria today should receive additional face coverings like the ones seen here. Anth, Megan, Sam and Gavin (L-R) are leading by example and starting early! Stay safe everyone!
19.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT After continuous rapid growth and huge future goals over the coming 5 years the decision has been made to relocate the IRS Head Office and Warehouse location in Melbourne. This decision was not made lightly, with over 20 years history in our current location. All efforts had been made to stay in Brooklyn including multiple rounds of development/investment in our current site whilst also leasing our next door office over the past 5 years. All these efforts s...till couldn’t keep up with the business expansion and we have outgrown this home. Developers have just broke ground at our new site in Laverton North less than 5 minutes from our current HO. We are hoping to be fully operational in the new site by December 2020. The new site will be approximately 3.5 times the size of our current footprint and will boast state of the art facilities with plenty of surprises for our employees and our expanding customers. 08.01.2022 Controlled Atmosphere shipments in Melbourne! Melbourne Reefer Tech Ben Daly assisted to prepare a load of plums shipping to India for valued customer CMA-CGM this week. A Daikin Active CA Reefer container unit was used. Controlled atmosphere Reefer containers assist to adjust O2 and CO2 levels within the refrigerated space promoting prolonged shelf life and new shipping routes for customers.
